It's really looking bleak right now for the Panthers.
- eight guys injured longterm
- their goalies have constantly a performance under 0.900 plus they don't have a goalie past this season under contract. If the first shot on goal of your opponent constantly goes in you can't win, especially with such a depleted team
- their forwards who are healthy don't play up to par, minus a few exceptions
- their D core just isn't good enough right now, starting from top pairing to second to third
- Petry signing was a mistake. He's not working out like oel or Schmidty, he's a liability on the ice every time he plays
- they lost too many games when the goalies were good and lost too many games where they were better. They don't have that margin of error
They all look tired and it's understandable, they have played a whole season on top through their three cup appearances. They're riddled with injuries. They can still make playoffs, but I am not sure they will. But even if not: it's fine. They gave us three amazing years. They will give us more amazing years, just probably not this one
