Despite having gone through rigorous training & conditioning, Haru’s body still remains in shambles. It probably didn’t help that his coach happened to be in a particularly sour mood for the past week, & last night was no different. Let’s just say it wasn’t a very GOOD, nor productive night for the swim team.
The smell of crisp coffee grows distinct as the door cracks open, along with several knocks that causes Haru to seek SAFETY under the thin blankets.
❝ Mmn … ❞ He hums groggily in response, unable to give an ACTUAL response now. The dark covers fly off from his head to reveal a disheveled swimmer. Honestly, he looks like a mess; from his bed head to the dark circles lining under his hues.
❝ … You’re up early. ❞
Hearing Haru shifting around, Makoto cracked the door open a little more, assuming that Haru was awake. He leant on the doorframe, quietly assessing his condition this morning. Haru looked more run down than ever, and Makoto could feel his heart sinking. Nevertheless, he headed further in, placed Haru’s coffee beside him, and sat down at the bottom of Haru’s bed.
“I could say the same to you,” Makoto said softly. “Rough practice?”
