I think in general we gotta let Alastor be evil more. He would have gotten along with the Vees on screen in canon if we got more screentime because he's evil! He's nasty just like they are! He does not conceive of himself as being morally superior to Velvette or Valentino, ala Dexter from Dexter. To the extent he considers himself superior to them it's in the way that a predator is superior to prey.
