Δάκρυσα μα δεν με είδες
“Human relationships are strange. I mean, you are with one person a while, eating and sleeping and living with them, loving them, talking to them, going places together, and then it stops”
— Charles Bukowski
Louise Glück, from "The Encounter"
You know I love you with every ounce of my soul.
Mary Jo Bang, "Our Evening Is Over Us," A Film in Which I Play Everyone
Starting to see
The tears don’t fall as quickly now
when thoughts of you begin somehow.
My heart still aches but feels less tight,
a fragile shift, not quite all right.
No longer do I feel so small,
nor wear a smile that’s false at all.
I’m not there yet, but starting to see
the quiet footprints of change in me.
the intimacy of hands.
Move on like you never knew them, because in reality... you didn't.
“Come on, keep trying until things go well, I promise you it will be worth the fight.”
— Unknown
You’ll never know a love like mine. That’s a promise.
Adonis, from a poem titled “Beginnings of the Body, Ends of the Sea,” featured in The Selected Poems of Adonis
