Here’s some positivity for specutien systems!
According to the coining post by @neopronouns , a specutien system is “a system that has a frontstuck host, requiring other members to speak through that member and causing the system to experience co-fronting and blurring rather than full switches.” This is a post for those systems!
Just because your system has a frontstuck host does not make you any less plural! It’s okay to front by being co-conscious, blurring, blending, using passive influence, or combining in other ways to interact with the world and take care of the system.
Shoutout to headmates who don’t feel like their own person because they’re so often blended with the host!
Shoutout to systems who struggle to define separate system members due to blurriness!
Shoutout to the hosts who have to front all the time, even when it’s hard or when they don’t want to!
Shoutout to systems who have been hurt, fakeclaimed, or had their needs not met in the past due to the way their system functions!
Shoutout to systems who are worried they’ll never be accepted in plural spaces because of the way their system works!
We want to support you and encourage you to be yourselves, whatever that looks like for you and your system! As a questioning specutien system ourself, we know the difficulties in having a constant semiconscious host, which can make switches covert, and it often feels like our host’s passive influence affects everyone in the system. However, having experiences like this does not make us (or you, or anyone) less of a system!
Specutien systems bring a unique plural perspective to the community! Please don’t doubt yourself or your system because you have a frontstuck host.
