Fic for the last day of maleoweek. Mine was based off of @lilshitwayne ‘s edit, the one where Malia was Persephone and Theo was Hades. Enjoy!
Peter let out a sigh as he looked at the dead dove in the box before him. He knew who it was from of course. He just needed to get rid of it before Henry saw and freaked. Sure they’d paid Raeken back every cent they’d owed him but it seemed as though he’d gotten a taste for extortion along the way. The business had just gotten back on its feet, they couldn’t afford to pay his insane extortion fee.
“What have you got there?” Henry asked walking down the stairs.
“Oh, nothing babe,” Peter said turning around. “What time’s Malia coming over tomorrow?”
“Noon. Everything okay babe?”
“Great, wanna go out later?”
“Peter Hale Tate, what are you hiding from me?” Henry scoffed crossing his arms.
“Fine,” Peter sighed, lifting up the box. “Raeken’s been sending me extortion letters. And these,” He scoffed opening the box.
“So what are we gonna do?”
Malia beamed as she pulled into the driveway of her parents’ house. She hadn’t seen them in months since she’d been busy planting trees and crops in Africa.
“Hello,” she beamed. “Anyone home?” she asked shutting the front door behind her.
“Hey Princess,” Peter smiled kissing her temple. “You’re so tan.”
“Didn’t get it from a bottle,” she smirked grabbing a bottle of water from the refrigerator.
“Rude,” Peter scoffed smacking her arm.
“Where’s daddy?” she chuckled taking a sip from the bottle.
“Out by the ranch. Should be back later.”
“Ah- gonna go for a swim.”
“Okay Princess. I’ll make you a snack okay.”
“Thanks,” Malia nodded walking upstairs.

Peter groaned as he noticed the shiny black pick up pull into his driveway. He knew who it was and he really didn’t want his daughter seeing him here. But screw it, he didn’t have a choice in the matter anyway.
“Theo, Donovan,” Peter nodded, greeting Theo and his right hand man.
“Peter, how are you doing?” Theo asked.
“It’s hot as balls out here but we’re fine,” Donovan scoffed.
“Sorry, come in. We can talk in my office. I’ll get you a drink.”
“It’s not a social call,” Theo scoffed.
“But I’ve never been the type to turn down free booze,” Donovan shrugged.
“Right, Henry brought up a bottle from the vineyard yesterday, new mix. Of course we need your approval on it,” Peter chuckled grabbing the bottle from the kitchen. Everyone knew Donovan’s affinity to wine.
“Bourbon for me,” Theo scoffed.
“Wow,” Donovan scoffed looking through the glass door out to the pool. “Who’s the goddess in your backyard?”
“My daughter,” Peter shrugged pouring Donovan a glass of wine.
“You’re saying that the girl in all these photos is the same girl out there? This wine must be pretty damn strong. Haven’t even tasted it and I’m already drunk.”
“The pictures here were taken before college.”
“You mean before she got a rose bush tattooed above her ass right?”
“No shit, I can see the appeal myself,” he whistled lowly as he watched Malia dry off.
“Uh… Yes,” Peter replied, clearly uncomfortable with how Donovan was regarding his daughter.
Theo on the other hand wasn’t listening to a word Donovan had uttered. He’d been too busy staring at the girl before him. He was utterly mesmerised. Perhaps he and Hale could reach a compromise after all.
“You heard what I said T?”
“What?” Theo asked shaking himself from his staring.
“I was telling Peter here what needs to be done,” Donovan replied, unsure of what was going on with Theo.
He was usually so focused. He would know, after all, Theo’d constantly side eye him to hell then scold him for drinking too much; even though he never got drunk.
“Right,” Theo nodded. “You know I’m extremely reasonable right?”
“Of course,” Peter nodded, gritting his teeth. He only thanked his lucky stars that Henry wasn’t here, he knew his husband would have a much harder time playing along.
“I know that money isn’t exactly easy to come by so I’m willing to accept payment in assets.”
“Assets, what kind of assets?” Peter asked, knowing fully well what the sick bastard had in mind.
“Hey dad I noticed that- oh hello,” Malia greeted as she walked into the living room. “I didn’t know you had company,” she whispered, eyeing the men her father was entertaining.
“Impromptu visit,” Peter shrugged. “But this is and Theo and that’s Donovan.”
“Nice to meet you,” she smiled shaking their hands. “I’m Malia.”
“Trust me, the pleasure’s all ours,” Donovan smirked.
“Right,” Malia scoffed. “I’m going to get dressed and go fix the garden. I swear these two would be lost without me,” she chuckled kissing Peter’s cheek and going up the stairs.
“Wow,” Donovan smirked, “Daddy’s girl huh?”
“Well she’s our only child.” Peter scoffed.
“That may make what I’m about to say really hard to hear,” Theo sighed.
“Well, I’m willing to forget about all those pesky extortion fees if you allow your daughter to come live with me.”
“You’re fully aware that that’s insanity right?” Peter scoffed. “This isn’t the nineteenth century.”
“No. Fuck you. If you think I’d trade my daughter so you can hold off on some extortion fees you’re clearly not as smart as everyone says you are. Now, please get the fuck out of my house and enjoy your day.”
Theo chuckled, “Whatever you say Pete. Enjoy your day too. Offer still stands.”
Peter knew the gravity of his decision but what kind of father would he be if he sent his daughter to live with that monster because of a problem he possibly created?
It had been a week since Theo’s visit and things were quiet. Eeriely quiet. At least that was the case until he was awoken by Malia’s screams one morning.
Rushing into her bedroom, he found her sitting on the floor in the corner of her room, her hands stained with blood.
“Malia, baby, is everything okay?” Peter asked kneeling before her.
“Lucky?” Peter asked confused.
“Lucky,” she emphasised, pointing to her bed.
Peter walked over and pulled back the blood stained sheets to reveal a severed horse head. Lucky’s severed head.
“Who would do something like that?” she asked, sobbing.
“How did they even get it in here?”
“I don’t know,” Peter sighed again.
He had an inkling of who did this but was as shocked as Malia by the entire ordeal. She was clearly traumatised, Lucky wasn’t her horse but she’d learnt to ride off of him and she loved all the animals on the ranch, she was a vegetarian for crying out loud. He needed to do something about Raeken.
A few hours later, Henry had returned from the ranch, swearing and muttering under his breath. Something had clearly ticked him off.
“Everything okay babe?” Peter asked, hoping it was just a broken fence or something.
“I went out to check on the crops- and everything was dead.”
“Chemically, yea. I suppose. Fuck, this harvest was supposed to be our best yet.”
“I know,” Peter sighed. “And we need to keep this quiet- but I think it was Raeken.”
“Our daughter’s barricaded in our bedroom because she woke up to Lucky’s severed head in her bed this morning.”
“Okay,” Peter sighed. He needed to come clean.
“Oh cheer up Theo, you killed their crops they’re definitely sending her over now,” Donovan smirked from across the room as he sipped his wine, surrounded by women as per usual.
“Don’t you think the horse head was a bit much?”
“No. It’ll scare her too.”
“Her?” Theo asked, confused.
“Yea. I put it in the girl’s room.”
“I told you to put it in their room.” Theo growled.
“You see, I tried that, but Tate keeps a rifle on his bedside table and I’m too pretty to be shot off of a balcony.”
“Fine fine, whatever,” Theo groaned.
He was extremely frustrated with Donovan but nonetheless let a small smirk cross his lips when he saw who had just walked in.
Malia had overheard her parents’ conversation from the foot of the stairs. She couldn’t believe the asshole’s archaic demands; but she also knew her fathers would never agree to it. Which meant their livelihood would continue to be threatened.
She had to take matters into her own hands.
She looked up Theo Raeken and saw that he’d owned and operated a nightclub called the Underworld. Guess where she was going tonight?
“You look pretty,” Henry smiled at Malia.
“Thanks dad, I thought since I’m in town it’d be great to meet some of my old friends and hang out.”
“That sounds great. Have fun okay.” Peter smiled.
“I will,” she smiled kissing their cheeks and walking out.
Was she really going through with this? she asked herself as she undid the strings of her trenchcoat and walked up to the bouncer.
“You’re early, club doesn’t open for another two hours.”
“I know that, Mr Raeken is expecting me.”
“Yea how many times have I heard that one before?”
“You can ask him if you’d like.”
The bouncer rolled his eyes,
“Okay, let’s go,” he sighed leading her inside.
Malia made eye contact with Theo and noticed the smirk on his lips. That was when she shrugged off her coat and revealed the black leather mini dress she was wearing.
Okay, it was a part of a Halloween costume in college and one of the only black pieces of clothing she owned. But hey, it came in handy after all, she thought as she sauntered over.
“She says you’re expecting her?”
“That I am,” Theo grinned. “You can go now Cerberus.” he added as Malia took a seat next to him.
“Were you really expecting me?” Malia asked with a smirk.
“More like hoping I’d see you again.”
“And why is that?” she asked trailing a hand up his leg.
“Because you’re beautiful and seem like a nice girl. I’d love to get to know you.”
“Can I get you a drink?” Theo asked as he saw Donovan getting up.
“Uhm…. Anything pink with nectar,” she smiled.
“Still… not nearly as sweet as you”
