my most controversial comic book opinion is that the extra lines and textures and shit on live action suits/costumes is a good thing. its a smart decision choice and is usually done pretty well

basically the only reason most simply designed comic suits (daredevil, black panther, sentry, to think of a few examples) work is because of the heavy shading and linework to give each costume visual interest. its also the same reason why a super accurate spider-man costume actually does look good, because it has all that webbing and texture without the shading. if you saw a guy on screen wearing like actual featureless spandex it would look ridiculous and cheap
