Dean Winchester didn’t deserve death, he was the most vibrant character on the show, he was passionate about life, about the mundane things life had to offer, food, music, sex, the relationships he built over the years, his found family, even with all the bad things that happened to him, he was still enthusiastic about life, he found pleasure in the smallest things, in the simple things life had to offer, he wasn’t after power, money or glory, he believed in doing the right thing, helping people, protecting people from having the same traumatic experience that he had… 

He wasn’t raised to have such a rough life, to be a hunter, he had four years of normal life, with people taking care of him, loving him, he had his childhood stolen from him, his innocence stolen from him, but that lil kid was always alive in his heart, he craved affection, love, to be loved back, because he remembers when he was a kid and he had that…

Dean spent his whole life thinking his own life didn’t matter, he had to put everyone’s needs first, because that is what is father demanded from him, he was never allowed to follow his dreams, he never had a chance to break free and enjoy his life to the fullest… 

Dean Winchester spent the last year of his life fighting for freedom, fighting to save the world, and once he got his so desired free will, his freedom was taken away from him in the most brutal way, he spent his last minutes having the confirmation that what he thought his whole life, was right, all that was left for him in the end was death, he spent his last minutes believing his life didn’t matter, showing how he always felt less than his brother, he died crying, sad, scared, losing everything he was working for, he got a dog, a job, he was ready to move on and see what else life had to offer… and he died, without getting the chance to enjoy his freedom, without having the chance to love himself, be proud of himself, without being able to see that he was more than just a hunter,  he died without finding peace and happiness while he was still alive, his life ended in the same way his story started, in tragedy.

You deserved better, Dean Winchester.

Hey there! This is my first character graphic PSD. Obviously it’s inspired by a lot of PSDs out there – however I wanted to create my own version. I put colour layovers on top of the fonts in the basic information so you can customize your colour however you like. Feel free to change and do whatever you like to it. As per request by a couple people, here is the PSD for my ‘get to know’ template! I only have the tools PS Elements 10 has to offer, so it’s really simple to work with.

attention college freshmen/anyone feeding themselves for the first time

this is for you

it has come to my attention that some people are not feeding themselves properly bc they don’t know how to cook/aren’t sure how to cook on a budget. bc i am everyone’s mom (or at least everyone’s wise older sister) let me drop some very real Broke Rookie Cooking Knowledge. 2 of my favorite recipes are under the cut, both of which come out to $2 OR LESS PER SERVING.

-MAKE a MENU. pick out like 5 things you know how to make and buy JUST WHAT YOU NEED FOR THOSE THINGS. and also a few snacks, but otherwise, JUST THAT. don’t just buy some random-ass groceries you think you’ll need. (also, if you don’t know how to make 5 things, seriously just google simple dinner recipes. i used a “mississippi heirloom cookbook” my aunt gave me and got a ton of good ones.)

-tbh i don’t even buy snacks except for a giant box of cookies that lasts me like 2 weeks at a time and an assload of apples. snacking is bad for you, and if you don’t HAVE snacks, you can’t EAT snacks. fuck snacks.

-off-brand EVERYTHING. you think you can taste a difference? you CAN’T. get shit in cans. vegetables. pasta sauce. salsa. whatthefuckever. it all comes in cans, and it’s always cheaper. i have no idea why.

-whole grain bread and brown rice/pasta are not more expensive than the regular kind, and they keep you full longer. GET THEM.

-@ my americans, Dollar Tree has literally everything. every kitchen utensil. (it’s where i got my big-ass chef’s knife, and that bitch is still sharp.) dishes/cups. snacks. drinks. literal loaves of bread. all kinds of basics, from peanut butter to sriracha to progresso soup. some even have freezer sections. all for ONE DOLLAR. go to Dollar Tree first, then go to the grocery store for whatever you couldn’t find there. i s2g it saves me so much money. (they also have tupperware, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, EVERYTHING. for one dollar.)

-produce is way cheaper than you think. get some fresh vegetables. you really will start to feel like a bag of hot garbage if you don’t eat your veggies.

-COOK in ADVANCE. i work during the day and go to school in the evenings, then i come home and work out. lemme tell you, my ass does NOT wanna cook when im done with all that. cook shit in big quantities, stock up on tupperware (dollar treeeeee), and stick it in the fridge for later. when you’re exhausted and remember you have instant dinner already made, you will want to kiss yourself.

-find some sandwiches you love. make a lot of sandwiches. (pls for the love of God dont use kraft american singles tho. deli-sliced cheese is literally right next to it, and it is NOT more expensive.)`

-FUCK organic free-range shit. you got organic free-range money? GREAT. i sure as hell don’t, and neither do most people. don’t waste your money trying to live your foodstagram #goals while you’re young and poor.

-if you qualify for SNAP/EBT, GET THAT SHIT. there are some assholes out there that will tell you not to, to leave it for the ~real~ poor people. tell them, ‘motherfucker I AM REAL POOR.’ for real though, corporations take advantage of any assistance the government gives them and they still lobby for more. you’d be a fool not to do the same.

We Didn’t Start the Fire Pt. 1

Teresa had gotten home late that evening after a very long shift. Her husband was already in a deep sleep by the time she had gotten to the apartment. She quietly had got up the stair to their bedroom, in which was quite large for an apartment. But Teresa liked it. The room walls were white with turquoise accents, which was her own personal touch. Though due to the lighting of the room it wouldn’t have been too noticeable. She quietly set her bag from work aside on a turquoise armchair, close to the bed. The she managed to go to the closet and quietly dress into her nightwear. Then she walked to the bathroom to quickly brush her teeth before turning in for the night.

Teresa proceeded back to the bedroom and under the covers as she laid next to her husband. Careful not to wake him. Then reached over to set her cell phone on the bedside table, as well as turn off the light. She then snuggled under the covers and attempted to find a comfortable position to sleep. With her belly, swollen with new life it seemed harder and harder each month to find a way to sleep. She wasn’t carrying one baby but twins, which was more of a load. Sometimes one would settle close to her bladder and she’d be on the run throughout the night or other nights she’d be jabbed in the ribs as a wake up call. Right now they were quiet, in which she was grateful because she was very tired. Teresa had shifted her weight so she laid on her side and she could hear her husband’s soft breathing patterns as she soon slowly drifted off to sleep.

Hours later... she was jolted awake by chipper sound of Billy Joel’s carribean like music. Though she wasn’t the only one startled as she had lightly rubbed her belly after receiving a few painful kicks. Teresa grumbled faintly as she didn’t remember having Billy Joel’s “We didn’t start the fire” as an alarm. She rubbed her eyes lightly, adjusting to the darkness as she realized it wasn’t an alarm but a phone call. She glanced at the caller ID and sighed. Her best friend must have changed her ringtone as a joke. She then hesitantly answered the phone and sat up. “Chris?” She asked, mildly confused but a grogginess in her voice since she had just woke up.

“Hey…” A voice said over the line. It was Chris Deleo, one of Teresa’s co-workers and best friends. “I know it’s late and all but, can I come over? ...I can’t sleep.” He said, a pause in his voice. It wasn’t his usual chipper voice which Teresa was so used to. Teresa tried to keep her voice low so she didn’t wake her husband as he had to get up in a few hours for work but she was genuinely concerned about her best friend. “Chris, what’s wrong?” She asked, worried. There was a faint stutter in Chris’s voice but he didn’t give. “I-I just couldn’t sleep.” He said again. “Get some warm tea or whatever works for you and get some rest.” Teresa said, trying her best to give advice. “I kinda can’t…” He said, sounding a bit disappointed. Teresa wondered why as she shifted her weight from one foot, to the other. “Why not?” She asked as she tried to suppress a yawn. “Uh, I’m kinda outside your apartment…”

There was a long pause before Teresa finally answered. “Alright. Give me a few minutes to get dressed.” She could hear Chris’s sigh of relief before she hung up the phone. She then proceeded to the closet to find something suitably comfortable since she wasn’t doing much that day anyways. After minute of rummaging she found a pair of sweatpants and she barrowed one of her husband’s oversized sweat shirts since it was one of the few items that would fit her at this point in time. She didn’t really show off her curves of motherhood as she felt no need. Of course she was excited as a mother to be could though, she didn’t need to show off her baby bump to prove that. Right now comfortable clothes were her best friend.

After Teresa finished changing her clothing with few struggles, she walked over to her husband who was still sleeping and kissed him softly on the cheek. She never left to go anywhere without giving him a kiss. If there was one thing she learned from being a surgeon is that you should show those you love every day and anytime, that you love them cause you never know if that one “I love you.” or kiss will be their last. She snuggled in his sweater, inhaling his scent as it gave her comfort as she felt she would need it. It was once again her time to ease someone’s troubled mind.
