Silas Hamilton
Make it all of the Easter candy and we have a deal. Have you spoken to dad? Is he coming?
I havenât talked to him, no. Iâm sure heâll come...
Silas Hamilton
[He laughed out loud when the spatula hit him. Heâd grown up with sarah and saul for parents, this wasnât anything he couldnât handle. He took hold of the spatula, using it to pull her closer and twirling her around so her back was against him, his arms wrapping around her waist to hold her close as he nibbled at her neck] Do you want a steak or chicken?
[ She wasnât sure why he was laughing, because she certainly wasnât. He was being rude and she didnât find it funny, or cute, like he somehow did. She pushed him off again, lips pursed together as her hands came down to rest on her hips. ] Iâm not kidding. You owe her an apology-- every woman in this room, actually, an apology.
Silas Hamilton
Can I help? Is that a no? You wonât love me?
If you can take Zane and TJ into the other room for me, Iâll let you have some of your easter candy early. Theyâre too young to witness a murder. And yes-- I would still love you.
Silas Hamilton
[He blinked once, then leaned in and pressed a kiss to her cheek before turning back to the grill] Yes dear.
[ She narrowed her eyes, pushing him away as she smacked him once on the ass with the spatula. He would walk away from that grill, or he would rue the day he ever decided to cross her. ]
Silas Hamilton
Iâm pretty sure the fumes have already gotten to me. I can feel my brain cells dying off. Will you still love me when Iâm a vegetable?
Hush. Itâs murderinâ time.
Silas Hamilton
Iâm not apologizing to her, she started it. Go work on the salads, weâve got the grill under control. Man cannot be banished from the flame.
If this man wants to ever have sex ever again in this lifetime, heâs going to apologize to his sister for being an asshole and go sit over there with his brother before I beat him to death with the spatula. [ She grabbed Saulâs spatula, ignoring his sputtering, as she wielded it in Silasâ direction. ] Do you still want to debate what women should and shouldnât be doing?Â
Silas Hamilton
Itâs a plastic cup, go inside with her and the kids and stay away from the mans domain. Weâve got this.
No. Youâre banished from the grill-- and youâre about to be banished to the couch for the next month if you donât stop being an asshole and apologize to your sister.Â
Silas Hamilton
Have you lost your mind? Plastic fumes are dangerous and your sister is pregnant and__there are babies here. [ She smacked him hard on the shoulder, shooting him a look that could chill the Sahara desert ] Apologize!
Thatâs it.
Iâm totally an adult. Stop limiting my adultness. Youâre not exactly old, Malia, and for the millionth time, you arenât fat. Maybe youâre about to start your period or something, thatâs probably why youâre so hungry and bloated. [She shrugged, snatching for the chips anyway. Cool Ranch were meant to be shared. She needed her Cool Ranch.] Iâll mix the cocoa puffs and the doritos together, itâll be delicious. Sharing is caring. Be a good role model for me. I am but a child, remember?
Iâm older than you, so that makes me old enough. Donât question my logic, thatâs rude. Iâm pretty sure my hostile uterus hates me enough without giving me a period this month-- I skip all of the time, one of the perks I guess. Itâs actually been awhile, now that Iâm thinking about it. I guess Iâm finally due again. [She shrugged, holding the bag so much tighter as she shook her head... but then considered what she said and nodded, relinquishing the bag.] Deal. Mix them up, and weâll have a party... a bed party, with food, but still.
Thatâs it.
Uh huh, I always need you. Iâm always down for fort building and Friends marathons. Bedtime is never important, Iâm basically an adult, so donât you worry about that. [She was going to say something about her eating crap food when she was just panicking about her weight, but decided against it. That would only create more problems and she wasnât sure they would survive a full blown Malia meltdown.] Are you going to share those orâŠ
Youâre not an adult yet, Missy. Enjoy your youth while you have it... someday soon youâll be old, fat, and your feet wonât fit into your cutest sandals, [She pointed at her, nodding her head before frowning when she asked about the chips. She didnât want to share her chips... they were doritos, and one simply didnât share those.] I think the cereal is calling to you... not my chips.
Thatâs it.
[She rubbed her back slowly, pressing a little kiss to her cheek. She had no idea what was going on with Malia, but she was worried about her. She might be the older sister, but Malia wasnât the only one that could look out for them. They took care of each other, that was just how they functioned, even if Malia didnât like to let her.] Yeah, I definitely need you to crash in my room. I donât know how Iâll get to sleep without you.
Well since you need me, I can definitely do that. How about we turn your room into a fort again, and watch Friends? Itâs the weekend so, bedtime isnât as important..since youâre already home. [She shrugged her shoulders, considering her options for a second before grabbing a bag of chip off of the counter. Today sheâd eat chips, and tomorrow sheâd go to the gym or something to make up for it. That would totally work.]
Thatâs it.
[She gave her a look that clearly said âyouâre insaneâ while not actually verbalizing itâŠbecause she feared for her life, and Maliaâs as well, if she actually  did. So she put the box of cereal on the counter, instead wrapping her arms tightly around Malia. She was clearly not secure, maybe this would help.] Do you want to crash in my room for the night? Iâll be big spoon and everything. I wouldnât wish meatloaf on anyone.
[She knew that she really needed to pull it together, but the hug made things worse. She held onto her sister tightly, taking a minute to compose herself before pulling away and nodding her head.] Well, okay... if you need to have me crash in your room, I guess I can do that. For you, not because I need it or anything.
Thatâs it.
No, Iâm not saying that, Iâm just saying if your ankles are swelling and stuff, that maybe itâs an allergic reaction and you should go to the hospital orâŠ.[She pulled at the box of coco puffs desperately, but not too harshly. Malia looked like she was about to break down at any minute, and she wasnât really sure what to do or say, but she wasnât willing to let her coco puffs take the fall.] Youâre not fat, Malia. And wheaties are disgusting. Letâs just get you to bed, maybe thatâs what you need. Just a good nightâs sleep.
[She let her take the coco puffs away, bursting into tears about 15 seconds later. Her hormones were all over the place and there was seemingly no excuse for it. She swiped at her eyes, mumbling an apology under her breath as she forced a smile and nodded her head.] Youâre right, Iâm just tired... everyone should be going to bed. Now, tell Silas weâre going to bed so heâll stop trying to force feed me leftover meatloaf.
Thatâs it.
Are you sure you arenât having an allergic reaction to something? I hear you can swell up to like, three times your size depending on the allergy. Youâre not fat, Malia. Your skin looks really good, actually. And your hair⊠Iâm a little bit jealous. Youâre not taking my coco puffs. I mean, it Malia. Theyâre the only good thing in my life right now. Iâm already losing my boyfriend and probably my scholarship, I am not losing my coco puffs and you are not losing your mind or your husband. Now hand them over.Â
Are you telling me that I look three times bigger than I did before? [She just stared at her, her eyes welling up with tears as her lower lip started to tremble. She held onto the box of coco puffs like it was her lifeline, shaking her head as she raised her eyebrows. Realistically she knew she was being a little crazy, but logic didnât live there anymore and maybe sheâd snapped.] No, no cereal... weâll buy you wheaties tomorrow.
Thatâs it.
Now youâre just being silly. Youâre far from huge. Youâre eating, Malia. I will do exactly as we do with Z when he doesnât eat his dinner. [He pulled the leftovers from the previous night out of the fridge and quickly zapped them in the microwave, placing them at the a space at the table and guiding her to sit.] Youâre not getting up until the plate is clean.
[She rolled her eyes when he started microwaving food, heaving a sigh as she shook her head. She knew that he was just trying to help, but sheâd shove him in that microwave if he tried to force feed her.] Donât be ridiculous. I already ate today.
Thatâs it.
BabeâŠstep away from the pantry and come to the bedroom. The last thing this house needs is less decent food. Youâre beautiful, I donât know what youâre talking about, but if youâre that concerned about it, we can make a doctorâs appointment, okay? Maybe itâs a thyroid issue? Not eating isnât an option though.
At this rate I might not even fit in the doorway to the bedroom, Silas. Iâm huge. I donât want to go see a doctor, I just want to fit in my clothes again. Iâm not eating__I refuse.
Thatâs it.
What is wrong with you? Youâre not touching my CoCo Puffs, woman. I will kill you. Youâre not fat, what are you even talking about?Â
I am fat. Look at me-- no, really, look at me. I can barely fit in any of my clothes, my ankles are swollen, and the food is the source of all of my problems is food. Give up the CoCo Puffs. Youâll thank me when youâre think and beautiful and your husband doesnât leave you for the first $4 hooker he meets at a truck stop.
