I might be late to the party, but here’s my headcanon:

John Tavner ends up on the English countryside. He gets a dog, a Golden retriever which, of course, is named Charlie.

He regularly has dinner and a whisky by the fireplace at Will and Hannibal’s cottage.

John and Will takes walks with Charlie and Winston. Sometimes they fish.

John sings, unfinished stories of his old life. Content stories of his new life.

They share the silence, the understanding of the darkness, and neither questions the other or wonder what happened to bring them there.

This is not debatable.

Queen Buffy the Great

You know her. You knew her. We have lost her and my heart is in pieces.

It has been an absolute delight to be Buffy’s mom. For almost 23 years we have shared everything. Six kids and five other cats have entered our lives, but she was so very special to me.

It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was time to let you go. And we’ll meet again, I’m sure of it. You’ll glare at me again and I’ll tell you I love you, and you’ll respond by ignoring me and leaving hairs in my food.
