Finally started watching season 8

Episode 1: some decent comedy, some shipping that I'm not crazy about but which isn't terrible, and a massive sense of foreboding.

The argument between Colleen and Pidge was straight-up one of the funniest bits they've ever had on the show.

Voltron Legendary Defender peaked with season 2.

Season 1 was a good start to the series, it updated the original series in a pleasing way.

Season 2 expanded on it, added world building and had a great climatic finale.

Subsequent seasons never had that same drive to them. They seemed rushed and all over the place.

Season 7 did at least have a single narrative thrust, but it ignored previous plot lines and had an exhausting, unrelenting final few episodes.

I haven't watched season 8 yet. I've read the spoilers and I'm not anxious to watch it.

I think the show tried to do too much and was trying to be all things to all people. Much of this was likely due to executive meddling.

It didn't help that this show had some fans so venomous, a handful of them literally attempted to blackmail the producers.

The best part of the show after season 2 were the fanworks, but now they are dying out.

There are some people who liked the finale and good for them (and I'm not being sarcastic). But just about everyone else is walking away, tired and depressed.

I was right, it's pretty much dead already and it's been less than a week.

No one knows how he acquired them, but Lance once started a water balloon war between himself, Hunk, and Keith that lasted the span of a week. It ended after a stray balloon hit Pidge while she was working on her laptop and she retaliated by hacking into the Castle’s drones to make them chase Lance, Hunk, and Keith around firing water balloons at them. Shiro nearly pissed himself laughing.

During his first birthday back on Earth, Krolia woke Keith up with a lullaby she used to sing him when he was a baby. Keith thought it was the best birthday gift he had in years. They spent the entire day together, with Krolia just doting on her son the entire day.
