Illustration of a racing whippit.
For the first time in ages, I actually did something in colour: A Ultraman poster. Love the show for all it's crazy costume designs (fyi. DaDa's my favorite kaiju from the series).
Logo idea inspired by cavepainting from the Bhimbetka rock shelter in Madhya Pradesh, India.
From my current sketchbook.
Concept and packaging design for at resincast "collectible" Hiroshima watch replica. I feel that the historican artifact that this is a replication of, bears a special importance and is a strong reminder of human nature and all it's flaws. I'm fully aware that the original object holds a special significance that cannot be replicated, however, if you percieve the original as a representation of meaning: as a symbol, i feel that it could be succesfully replicated.
A few naïve sculptures of different origins. I have an extensive collection of pictures in a folder dedicated to naïve art (mostly archeological artifacts), and often when I'm out of ideas for what I should draw, I turn to that folder for inspiration and references.
Tollundmanden (Tollund Man). In my favorite black ballpen.
Grauballemanden (The Grauballe Man), just after being unearthed. pencil and ink.
Anatomical wax model from Museo La Specola Florence. Done in soft pencil and afterwards digitally edited.
Beksinski inspired character. In 6B pencil + digital edit.
Charater design "Proto".
Character design that I might use for a future figure sculpt.
Concept design for a 4" figure I did recently. I want to make a small production of some sort of collectible toy soon, but I'm still trying to figure out what I want to make. What really appeals to me about a project like this is the fact that there are so many different creative diciplines/ tecniques and materials that I get to work with.
Lil' kaiju.
Did an illustration of a sofubi (vinyl) toy that I'm too poor to actually own. The designer of this toy is the very talented Mike Egan.
Another Leonard Baskin study I think?... He sure loved to draw ugly bald or balding men with bushy rug-like beards, and so am I. But this may also just be something I stylized to look like his stuff, not sure.
Another Baskin study.
