So Red has done himself a booboo. Looks like he's come down the hill at a fare rate of knots and caught his leg in a water pipe and over extended his pastern joint. So I've poulticed his leg. He's investigating. I'm not convinced the poultice will stay on though. #horses #rehab #tuffrockpoultice

I'm so excited about this I have to share. My daughter has always suffered horrific nappy rash. Every time she pooped she'd come up in blisters all around her bottom end. It always got worse with dairy so we concluded she must be allergic to dairy and have been awaiting pediatric testing. But then the blisters started coming with everything. Soy. Sausages. Certain spreads. I was at such a loss that a few days ago I figured I had nothing left to lose and made her and my son half a shake and gave them some each despite it having dairy in it. Guess what?! No blisters. No burning. No screaming child gripping at her nappy ready to burst into tears from the pain. I even asked her if it hurt. "Nope" she says (she's 3 by the way). She also out slept everyone in the house this morning :-D She wasn't allergic to anything. Her body was acidic! And the acid state was what was burning her skin and giving her blisters. The alkaline base of the shakes have helped to neutralise her body!

I've spent my whole life facing the nay sayers and the doubters. At the age of 4 and a half, I became a gymnast but was soon told by coaches that I'd struggle to get far because I was so tall. I went on to compete and train in two Olympic level training squads. At the age of 10, I was told I was too young to have Cancer. I then became the youngest person in New Zealand to ever be diagnosed with Melanoma skin cancer (a record I hope I have retained). Then you know what I did? I beat it. At the ages of 15 to 18 I was told that I couldn't be a mechanic because I was a girl. I joined the automotive class at school and topped my class. I went on to Polytechnic and came 10th in my class out of 60 males. After that I went on to do my apprenticeship. At the age of 26 I set out on my most challenging and notorious venture yet. I purchased my first ever horse. An unhandled Thoroughbred/Quarter Horse cross. People told me I was insane, that I'd get myself hurt or killed, that only experienced people can start horses under saddle. I had the biggest fight of my life on my hands and people literally sat back and awaited the train wreck. Two years on, Redemption is my best friend and companion. I have successfully started him under saddle and have begun working through the Parelli levels program together and I have been set on my path towards my life's work. More recently, I have found the vessel to take me there. You see, what I'm saying is, nothing in this life is impossible. Not a damn thing. The ONLY thing that will ever truly stop you is yourself. So, a week ago these jeans were so tight it was uncomfortable to sit down while wearing them. Now they're too big, belt is on the last hole.
