I sketched lots of powerful energetic horses for the new year but the more I thought about it, the more I wished for something else for 2026. So here is the new freebie sticker art to start off this lunar year - a warm and gentle flame to light your way through a strange time.
This is my new shop freebie sticker from this week! I hope you guys like it.
Progress photos from the painting I posted yesterday! As you can see, it went through a long ugly duckling stage, which had me VERY concerned with an art show deadline looming haha.
I recently created this ink and watercolour painting for an art show at local brewpub Working Title. :) If you're in Brisbane (Australia), Working Title has a whole wall of Pokemon art up for viewing to celebrate the Pokemon 30th Anniversary! The show is only up for a couple more weekends! Some pieces are even for sale.
I was inspired by cutaway drawings that I used to pore over in kid-centric animal encyclopaedias when I was young. I tried to make every corner interesting to look at with little details! It was fun to think about what could be going on beneath the surface of somewhere like Viridian Forest that trainers will never see.
Thanks to Nakoo for organising the whole thing! I think the show came together so good and I encourage everyone to check it out and get a brewski to support more local art stuff like this. :) I think the next show going up next month is based on retro and independently make toys!

New postcard for the shop! I am getting ahead of myself a bit but Year of the Fire Horse is creeping up on its tippy tappy hooves.
Maybe I will be better at posting art online in Honse Year. We'll see. The advent of AI image scraping/generation has made me leery of posting art directly to the internet any longer. I'm tired. Everything is tiring. I feel like the internet is smaller than ever, now that we all somewhat begrudge being here. How can anyone put their best self online when it's just going to be scraped by bots for the benefit of billionaires? But I don't know how else to reach any of you lovely art appreciators out there without it so I'm a bit stuck for now.
My newest set of pins - the Teeny Weeny Deenos :) I've drawn little dinosaurs with bird plumage before but I thought they'd be perfect as colourful little pins too!
Also, I love this style of screenprinted "dyed" metal pin. They're so cute and toy-like! Absolutely wanna make more and specifically more Deenos. I think a galah one would be fantastic. Fairy wren has also been suggested to me and I love that idea too!
The Australian Magpie has been by far the most popular pin at conventions here in Australia. That surprised me a little! I thought the more colourful options would catch peoples' eye but I suppose I underestimated the fondness we collectively have for maggies!
I didn't really post about this year's witch kitty art around Halloween, oops. I did make new witch kitty stickers! The streak is not broken. This year's theme was "Tricks" to go with last year's "Treats" :)
They turned out very cute, imo! And of course you can do this with the edge peeker ones, which I think is fun 👇👇👇

A unicorn painted for the new postcard in June <3 I keep meaning to draw a lot more unicorns for #Junicorn but I just...can't find the time each year. ;_; Maybe I can make it up later in the year.
ANYWAY. This is the current free postcard in my shop! I'm already starting to run low though so I guess the new postcard will come in sooner than later and then I'll have this art for sale as A5 prints instead. :)

Noivern gijinka for the big collab on Newgrounds! All the art people have made is going to get put together into a pokedex-style menu hopefully. It's going to be really fun!
Since Noivern is such a "sound"-associated pokemon, I made the gijinka a rocker with some glam vampire vibes! Also worked in its signature move "Boomburst" (which carried my pokerogue run recently lol)
Been a while but with the addition of Spectrier and Glastrier I had to add another sheet to the carousel pokeponies! They're the horsiest horsies we've gotten in a while so I couldn't very well ignore them. xD Plus Wyrdeer, Garigiraf, Paldean Tauros and Calyrex fill out the set to match the old ones nicely. :)
So yes, here is all the updated art! Calyrex looks a little odd on his own here but he's intended to be a sticker that sits on the other horses heheh.
Also regular form Keldeo! He didn't fit evenly anywhere else. Poor lil guy.
I had half this art done already and thought hey if I add a few more dragons that's makes a pretty fun set of stickers... I imagine using them to stick down notes/photos etc in a journal. :D Well, that's how I'm going to use them anyway!
Unrelated but I recently sorted my sticker collection into a binder. It was fun.
I just have to add this goofy product photo I took for my shop listing heheh.
