Ha Ha.  Good one.  For a minute there I thought you said that you had not one but two puppies in your care.

…No, that is exactly what you said.  I’m not going to hear the end of this from the boys.  They’ll be thrilled.  How in the name of Merlin would you end up with two puppies?

Molly Weasley || Fireball Pie

1 ounce Fireball Whisky

½ ounce vanilla vodka

½ ounce apple pie liqueur

2 ounces ginger ale 

Directions: Fill a shaker with ice and add the Fireball Whisky, vanilla vodka, and apple pie liqueur. Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice. Add the ginger ale, mix, and serve. 

When thinking of what to put in Molly's cocktail, the first thing that came into my mind was that Fireball had to be in there somewhere, and not just because it's my favorite alcohol.  It's a whiskey that has that fiery kick of cinnamon to keep you on your toes.  It's like Molly in a way: stronger than she looks with a serious fiery streak that keeps her fighting.  But, she's also a sweet woman who is defined by her love for her family along with her skill as a wicked cook.  Even in Harry Potter's time, her baking skills are the stuff of legend.  This cocktail really sums up Molly.  And it tastes pretty yummy.

9. What was your character’s childhood like?

//As Gideon already stated, it was pretty normal while their mother was alive.  As the youngest child and only daughter, Molly was adored.  She was as close to being her father's princess as possible, her mother's answered wish and her brother's bratty sister that they would do anything for.  She was loved and she knew it.  She had her moments when she used her position unfairly to her advantage (mainly in getting out of trouble or blaming it on one or both of her brothers), but she was also grateful for everything she was given.  

It was no surprise to anyone when Molly was sorted into Gryffindor.  From a young age there was a fire in her, a sort of fearlessness and endeared her to others.  Yes, she wanted the tea parties (much to Gid and Fab's dismay), but she was also game to go flying with them before she really should have been on a broom.  She fought fiercely, but loved even more.  

When their mother started to get sick, Molly thought that is was her job to try and take her place.  In her mind, that was what was expected of her. She had been given so much as a child so it was only natural that she would give everything she could to be the comfort and emotional provider that her mum was, even if she was only 12 or 13 years old.  

In a nutshell, Molly was a happy child and she wants her boys (and little girl in a few years), to have that kind of childhood.  The only difference is that she plans to be around for all of it so the only pressure they have is to be who they are and figure out their place in this world.

16. If your character had the chance to become immortal, would they take it?

//No, she would not.  Sure it would be nice to see her children grow up, have children and grandchildren of their own, but watching them die would destroy her.

You're right.  I know she loved us a lot.  That's a big part of why we had a 'normal' childhood.

I'm just stating an opinion, Gid.  You already know that I think you and Fabian are hiding things from me.  Unless you're asking if I'm sick and as far as I can tell, I'm not.

Imagine your character was on the opposite side of the war. Who would be most likely person you would ship with them? Who would be their best friend? Their worst enemy?

// Oh goodness...Molly on the other side of the war.  While she's really more of a neutral character during this war, she would be a sight to behold supporting the Death Eater cause.  If that were to ever happen, she would probably agree with the idea that muggleborns are a threat to the survival of the wizarding race.  She would fit in well with the purebloods that see her as a blood traitor now.

As for who I would ship her with: she would end up in a pureblood marriage, probably of her choosing.  Unlike the Black sisters or even Alecto Carrow, the Prewetts didn't possess the fortune or the status to allow for the kind of advantageous marriage expected of those women.  To be honest, she would probably end up with a lower pureblood who isn't played in APV.  She wouldn't be a death eater and she would not end up married to one, I don't think.  She would try to remain neutral while supporting the Death Eaters in whatever way she could, much like she does with the Order.  She would still have a whole posse of children though.  I honestly don't see that changing.

Her best friend would probably be someone else 'neutral' with a death eater leaning.  Possibly Narcissa (although that might be painful with all the kids) or perhaps Charity.  

Her worst enemies would be her brothers and Arthur if they were to have real interactions with one another.  

Honestly, it isn't this War Molly that would have the biggest change if she were on a different side.  It's the second war.  Who she is and the way she raises her children are greatly influenced by what happens in these years before the downfall of Voldemort.  Her epic 'not my daughter, you bitch' moment is the culmination of everything she has lost and sacrificed for her family.  I've said it before and I'll say it again: there are a lot more similarities between the Weasleys and Malfoys than most people care to admit.  Molly would end up something like Narcissa: desperate to do anything to save her family.

Because she wanted us to. She didn’t want us to worry. In retrospect I think she tried to keep it from us as best as she could. How bad she really was and for how long.

Of course she'd do that.  If I was sick, I'd try my damnedest to keep that from the boys as long as possible.  You would do the same with me and Fabian.  

We're good at that: pretending.  It's in our blood.
