Personality: Yang is shy around outsiders, but always friendly to them unless they give her a reason to be suspicious. She’s easy to befriend if you earn her trust. Yang loves children and young animals. She will do anything to protect them and keep them safe.
Backstory: Yang was born in the Shumi Village after the reign of Adel in Esthar. Her father was a slave in Esthar when Adel reigned. Thanks to Laguna, His short talk with her father gave him the courage to court (date) the moomba that he loved so dearly.
Soon the two moombas were mated (married) and had Yang. Unlike most Moombas, Yang’s father taught her to read and write as well as use machinery. Yang was never sure if she would ever meet the famous Laguna that her father and the entire village admired, but their paths would cross in Esthar regardless.
Her father was getting old, and he wanted to see Esthar and Laguna one last time before he died. It was hard for him to move without pain nowadays, and he had arthritis to boot. It would be sad to see her father go, but Yang knew he would be better off not suffering then staying alive and having his every step be painful.
So they traveled to Esthar and met Laguna before her father went to Doctor Odine to be put down. It was hard to convince the guards that they meant no harm, but Laguna himself came out and vouched for them.
Yang’s father did not have much time left. They ate with Laguna before he was taken away with a smile. His suffering was going to end soon. Although Yang was sad, she knew that he was going to be with her mother; who had passed on two years prior to her father coming here. She became ill at the end of her life and passed away in her sleep.
Yang was going to head back to the Shumi village and find a mate like her mother had wanted, but Laguna offered her a job and a place to stay. As Yang had told him she can read, write and operate machinery. Yang took the offer, as she was not interested at this time in courting anyone.
Yang now lives with Laguna as one of his secretaries. Although she does not answer phones, she does work with software and filling our forms to the best of her ability due to her huge paws.
Laguna is like a second father to her already.
