There's a reason why humans associate the supernatural with the month of October. Each year the veil between worlds grows thin, magic leaks through to our realm, and supernatural beings find themselves with a lot less control over their abilities.
Vampires thirst without end, shifters become stuck between one form and the next without warning, magic users’ spells seem to be working fantastically - or malfunctioning - but each will require a price to be paid. Instincts for everyone are running wild, and even the most disciplined of predators are feeling the blood thirst course through their veins.
If there were ever a time for a human to spot something out of the ordinary, it’d be now.

this event will last from today, october 4th, 2017; until november 2nd, 2017; the end of allhallowtide.
to participate, please post a paragraph-style reaction to the prompt, on how it initially affects your muse, under the tag #mamonoevent. these prompts should not be responded to like an open, they are just reactions.
after your reaction post, feel free to post event-related opens or do closed threads! these should be tagged both #mamonoevent and the normal open or closed tags!
your ongoing threads from pre-event do not need to have event elements shoehorned into them; nor do you have to do event-only threads for the next month.

we’ve got a mamono discord server! we wanted to let the island population build up a bit before we opened it up, but it’s all good to go now! just send us a message with your discord tag if you want to be added. it’ll be a good place to get to know other muns!
