Scariest thing is having no blueprint, just ambition and hubris.

One of my closest friends told me i have all the talent and grit but I just lack the belief in myself and its honestly had me thinking for a week.

I remember wanting everything I have now. Who would have thought Id get it all without the ones I wanted it with. I guess I've been through worse things.

Prove them wrong

I started out wanting to prove them wrong. I didn't care about being seen as another statistic. Nor did I care to fit in to their standards. I did, however, care about being looked as as less than, inferior by whatever metric they had. Because I knew I was capable of more than they thought me capable. I knew what I had in me was blessed by God and that my perspectives and ability to execute wasn't something I just thought up randomly one day. But, the moment I let the idea creep into my mind that I had to prove them wrong, is when I faltered on my path. Luckily, the grace of God abounds and provides me the wisdom to see my own failings. He provides the strength to correct my own chosen missteps.

I no longer seek to prove them wrong. I desire to simply fall in love with the process of building strong foundations. I require deepening of my faith, love, and abilities. I expect myself to lead by example, results, and integrity. Because I know it is not my job to prove them wrong.

Spending any more time and energy on the appearance of worth detracts from fulfilling the purpose of my existence. The choice I make now is that which frees me of the burden. Thanks to the ever abounding grace and love of Jesus Christ.
