Do they suffer from any emotional issues like depression or anxiety?

“Used to...very bad.” he frowned, “It was...well...” he sighed, struggling to put words to what he was feeling at the time. “It was difficult.” he chose those words after several long seconds of thoughtful recollection. 

Due to his past he has a very deep inferiority complex that allows him to make fun of himself and acts as a shield against insults or teasing comments. However, he is quick to blame himself and is very critical of his own actions. There are a few more besides this one that he has been carrying for a while. Some, he has successfully overcome, others still remain. Others can be brought up given a situation such as his family being in danger.

“Just a gold earring that makes me look like a pirate.” he teased, showing off his one sided small golden studded earring on his right ear. “Since Cervi got a bellybutton piercing, I decided to get something to match! Well, I didn’t get a bellybutton piercing myself, but eh, close enough.” he teased. “It was just a bit of fun between us both, pushing our boundaries and brightening our horizons. No funny story behind it either. It was just an impulse buy!”

Is there anyone they would pick a fight with?

While less combative than most and preferring to use his wits to insult others rather than fight, there are certain moments he wouldn’t mind picking a fight with. Due to jealousy, anyone that tries to flirt with his wife Cervato would make the man want to fight him or her. At the moment, the only one he would intentionally pick a fight with is Marcus due to what happened in the mists. Another would have been his father but alas, he is dead.

How do they react to the death of a loved one?

Mandel frowned at the thought, opening his mouth as if wishing to speak, but closing it again shortly after. It was as if words failed him at that moment. After several long minutes me finally managed to utter a sentence. “Not well.” 

This is an understatement since Mandel would be a broken mess for weeks if not months. The death of his first son ruined him, the belief that Cervato tied destroyed him for the short period that he thought she was deceased.  If such an event were to occur, there would be no telling what would happen to Mandel, nor to his psyche of who he is.

“I don’t usually blush. I am a crude rogue who isn’t afraid to hold back.” he huffs, a serious look on his face that slowly breaks into one of mirth as he laughs. “I can get embarrassed too, you know? My wife saying ‘I love you!’“ mimicking Cervato’s voice, “...always manages to make me blush bright red.” he then looked down towards his feet, kicking a pebble. “Someone saying thank you for something minor. I never expect it and it throws me off.”

“Writing.” he shrugs, “A lot of people consider me an idiot, which I take offence to that by the way! I am not an idiot, I am a lovable idiot.” he teased before coughing. “Getting back on topic, started to write to keep my mind off....home. Loved reading fairy tales and romance novels and well, want to give others that same satisfaction.” he grins, “Not many people know I have put out a book or two under an alias. Which one? Well, oh look at the time. Taxes!” he quickly blinked away without answering completely...damn mesmer.

“You know very well the answer to that question, kitten.” he teased Cervato while cuddling close. “Loud, passionate, rough. Kisses along your neck as your nails dig into my flesh. It’s the small things that makes it so good.” he would kiss her neck for several seconds before smirking. “Moaning and gasping turns me on so much, the louder the better. So too are caressing thighs, stomach....breasts.” he would take Cer’s hand and moves it to his inner thigh. All that talk is really getting me going, so why not a practical show and less tell?”

“Most ashamed of....very personal don’t you think?” he winked at the person asking him this. As he thought carefully, his smile switched to a frown “Trying to act all free....high and mighty by doing anything I want. I knew I wasn’t truly free, yet I deluded myself into thinking I was.” he sighed, though his smile returned at the next question. “Oh most proud of. When I danced with a chicken. Who wouldn’t be proud of that.” he nodded, trying to hide his laughter. At the last question, he shook his head, not saying a word. But those close to him knew that his biggest dread was his childhood growing up in the Stabler manor.

🤗 Pull my muse into a hug (Cer)

“Aww. just for me?” he asked, a large grin on the mesmer’s face as his wife had given him a new hat. It was pompous, a red moa feather attached to it. “If I didn’t know any better, I would assume you stole it from Kih.” he teased, but he would show his gratitude to his wife via a hug. “Thank you, for this wonderful gift.” pulling away from Cer, he was beaming, “Now let’s see how much handsome points I get by wearing this hat!” he joked, putting it on and showing it off to Cervato. He looked a bit silly, but it did fit his personality. Mandel loved his new hat.

💘 Pull my muse in for a rough kiss (Cer)

“Missed again.” Mandel teased Cervato as they sparred, always willing to stay in shape and to hone their abilities. It did indeed felt like old times, the mesmer teasing her while Cer was trying to prove him wrong. Well, there was a particular difference, she wasn’t trying to beat him up. He couldn’t match her in skill with a sword, she was far too experienced for him to have a prayer. So he used his guile, his taunts. He knew Cer couldn’t resist a challenge and thus left her open. Taking such a chance, he would grab her arm with one hand and pulled her to him as he kissed her. It was rough, passionate as the heat of the spar got to them. Catching their breath after the kiss, Mandel winked, “i win, Kitten.” for he had the practice sword pointed at her side. That damn mesmer! As she scowled but then laughed, he couldn’t help but laughs well. 

No punches for his amusing wit; yeah, time has changed them both and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Thus, he would kiss his wife again for good measure.

Mandel would see Kadea sitting at her desk, looking over some papers or another and organizing tediously one after another. Being the nosy mesmer that he was and considering he had time before meeting up with Cer, he would take a seat next to Kadea “Don’t you get bored of paperwork all the time?” he asked curiously, impolitely looking over her shoulder to get a glimpse at the Accord’s secrets. He then shrugged as he leaned back on the chair. “At least get a cat! Or a dog, taking breaks is important too!” 

With this advice, he would then leave her, “Oh, don’t forget about the horrors of paper cuts!” he called back as he blinked away.
