The 2026 Gender Census is now open!

The 13th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th August 2026.

It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

Czech Grace would treat me right (I think I'm just weak for Czech-speaking men)

Arabic (just labeled as 'Arabic', doesn't say what variant) Grace is such a cutie-patootie, I need to hold him in my arms and tells him how wonderful he is

Japanese Rocky is ADORABLE he is SO CUTE I fucking CAN'T handle it

Also worth mentioning are the two French dubs, specifically because Canadian French pronounces names with a soft English R, but the European French dub turned Ryland Grace into ʁailaun gʁeys and I think that's beautiful
