One of Matthew's favorite things to play with were coloring books. He always found them quite relaxing, because he could take all the time he needed to finish them. They also were not noisy like the few other toys he had.

Francis knew that, so he always tried to save some money to buy atleast a small one every month.

Yet, when sometimes Francis' salary was barely enough to get thru the month, Matthew was still waiting for his book. The same day every month.

So there he was, the night before, using the entering light of the moon, just to try and see the sheets of paper in front of him. Drawing was not one of Francis' passions, so he sometimes grabed inspiration from two or three of the already finished books.

The ones he bought used to have twelve drawings, so when he made them for Matt, he always made sure to add some more.

Francis has heard a lot of variations of this phrase. 

Some of them were while the person was crying, laughing, even while feeling angry with themselves. 

He knows that he has been the light in a lot of people's lives. 

Nonetheless, he also knows that there will never be a day where he corresponds to those feelings. 

Even if he wanted, even if he felt it. 

Because death provides a closure to those feelings. He has seen those people live and die, and with them, their feeling of love for him. 

But he wont, he would either live with that feeling, or never have it. 

He cant simply “forget” about that person. He remembers every single one of them, their name, their faces, and how he showed them to love. 

That's his life; only being to experiment love in memories. 

Maybe, it's time to take a break.

To find love in another place. 

In someone who has to confront life like he does.

It doesn't really matter if a world meeting is successful, because it always starts the same. 

After everyone is sat, and Germany somehow ends up being the lead again, (even when he is not the host) chaos begins. The same old fights, some already heard jokes, but always a new conversation. 

Well, they haven't seen each other in a while, so it's normal that work is not the first thing they want to talk about. Even when Germany kinda knows this, he always tries to get everyone on track. 

At the end, they have to go on a twenty five minute break before they actually start working.

Most meetings, he is basically just talking to himself or to anyone who makes the mistake of actually watching him. 

He remebers exactly the three or four things that happened each time. 

Of course, France and England have their stupid fight, but rather than continuing with it for the rest of the meeting, France finds a way of getting out of it, leaving England to fight with America. 

After noticing that, Germany inevitably looked at France, who just sits by himself, resting his head on his hand. 

That was about it, until Francis started smiling at him whenever their eyes met. 

The same stupid smile, again and again. They would go on a break, and Francis wouldn't even acknowledge what just happened.

The fifth time that happened, Ludwig had enough. 

While everyone left the room to get their recess, Ludwig asked Francis to stay. He didn't actually look surprised at his request. 

They chatted for a bit, until Francis got tired of Ludwig's professionalism. After that conversation, meetings started to go a little bit different. 

Ludwig still tried to get everyone on track, but this time, something different was on his mind. He couldn't stop looking at Francis. He knew what was going to happen when the first part of the meeting ended. 

All that accumulated stress only made him want it more. 

At first, Francis was the one that would go to the bathroom first, mostly because Ludwig was too ashamed to do it first. But after the fourth time, it looked like Ludwig was always dying to go to the bathroom while they were on recess.  

Francis always made sure to never let a single drop on the floor or on Ludwig's pants. 

If everyone was especially exasperating that day, Ludwig got more intense with the hair pulling and thrusting.

That stupid smile on Francis face, and the way that he always seemed to want more, made Ludwig see him as a simple stress relief. He put all the exhaustion that everyone caused him onto Francis face. 

Well, Francis wanted some free dick. 

The hand soap in the bathroom basically became their new cologne because of how much they used it.

Because of the way that others tend to perceive Francis, he usually ends up being the one guiding the act. Not that he dislikes it; the idea of making someone feel so comfortable that they trust him in such a vulnerable and beautiful moment is truly one of the best. 

Feeling the other; making them laugh instead of making them feel embarrassed when things don't go a certain way, and at the same time showing them what true pleasure and love mean. 

He would be lying if he said that he never imagined himself doing these things with people that he already loved, or even with people that he thought he hated.

Arthur always tended to be that one person. 

He liked to imagine the face that Arthur would make after finding out that the one behind the irresistible pleasure that he had just experienced, was no one but Francis himself.

Would he accept it, or would he deny it for the rest of his life?

Those questions were to be answered one day. 

And that day finally came.

Of course Francis already knew that would happen at first; Arthur's pride was too strong to be put in that position. 

After a long talk and a promise that, if something felt wrong, he would stop, Arthur accepted.

It took ten seconds for him to begin complaining and almost screaming. 

Francis asked what was wrong, if it was the act itself, if it was the time, or even if it was his fault. Not a single one of those answers were true, not even the last one. 

It wasn't that Arthur didn't want to experience pleasure; it was that he didn't want to experience it in that way. 

These weren't his exact words, but the point that he was unconsciously trying to make was that he didn't feel understood and loved by Francis guiding him: he felt weak, and really embarrassed. 

Maybe because he had thought about that exact moment a bunch of times, or maybe simply because it was Arthur, but Francis accepted. 

At the end, if that was the way for Arthur to feel love, he would do it. 

The topic sometimes comes back, but Arthur's answer (a lot of the time including a bunch of sarcasm and insults) remains the same. 

Francis will always laugh at his mistakes and stupid decisions, but even when Arthur's guidance ends up being awful and sometimes difficult to enjoy, he never admits it. 

Arthur will end up becoming better with practice. 

His comfort is what mattered to Francis the most.

Being immortal means that even things that seem to have ended centuries ago can return at any moment.

It's a kind of pain that only they can truly understand. It's a pain that even the most empathetic person wouldn't want to hear about.

That's why, today, although there's no law against it, none of the countries discuss their experiences publicly. But in the past, when the world wasn't so interconnected, it's rumored that the main way they expressed their suffering was by writing it.

Countless texts have been lost, while some of them remain hidden, safeguarded by their authors.

However, a collection of five of these texts has recently been discovered. It has no date, no author, only a brief introduction before the testimonies begin.

In it, whoever created the compilation explains two essential things.

First, that he personally spoke with each of the personifications, and that some directly lent him portions of their writings, while others are transcriptions of what they said.

Welcome to these lovely apartments!

Actually, the residents didn't originally live here. The building in which they previously lived in was discovered to be involved with other properties in a money laundering scheme.

The investigation is ongoing, and although the residents are also under investigation, the jury, the FBI, and the police reached an agreement with them.

Until the investigation is complete, they have been assigned to live in a new building that is as yet unnamed, since it hasn't been opened to the public. Once the procedures is finished, they will be able to decide whether to move elsewhere or start paying rent to live here.

Currently, all the residents are settled in!

So, let's introduce each of them, starting with the residents of the apartments 806 and 706: Francis Bonnefoy and Arthur Kirkland! For now, because the new manager of these apartments isnt really good at numbering, so that may change one day...

The paintings, the sculptures; he could spend a lifetime appreciating them.

That's why (and probably for other reasons) Francis came up with a way to visit the Louvre like any other person.

Disguise himself.

He wears wigs, makeup.

The employees who work off-peak hours already know the game: Francis arrives dressed like an ordinary person, putting on some exaggerated performance, or pretending to be a very refined person.

In any case, he skips looking for an audio guide, preferring to listen to a podcast or music on his phone, or sometimes he just listens to the sounds of tourists.

Instead of buying a ticket, he approaches one of the counters and takes out a small card.

The employee smiles, and after winking at him, lets him in.

The place is so big that, even though he knows what he wants to see, he always ends up getting lost among the exhibits.

1) They have a competition. Once a month, one of them prepares a presentation about something related to their country (a book, a board game, food, etc.) and shares it with the other.

Each time, they usually pretend not to be interested or that they find it stupid (although secretly they both enjoy hearing about each other's culture).

The less interested they try to look, the more the other knows that their partner wants them to bring that thing again next time.

2) When they get annoyed with each other, they react very differently.

Ivan prefers to give the silent treatment, which Alfred absolutely hates. During this time, he goes through many phases: sometimes he tries to force him to talk, and sometimes he tries to do the same to him (it never works).

Alfred prefers to pretend nothing is wrong. Ivan realizes this is a lie when he finds all his clothes scattered on the floor or his food burnt. Sometimes Alfred chooses to do things less obvious, mostly things that will cause minor inconveniences.

3) It took them a while to decide which language they would use. After a long fight, they decided that Ivan would have to learn English. He resigned himself to the idea for a couple of months, but now he communicates quite well (with that Russian accent that Alfred loves).

Alfred has noticed that when Ivan speaks Russian on the phone or with his sisters, he seems happier, probably because it comes more naturally to him. There's still like six or more months until Ivan's birthday, but Alfred has secretly been taking Russian lessons.

Every time he speaks, it sounds like he's trying to invoke something, but he's trying.

Loneliness is a topic that affects the three siblings in different ways.

They deal with it in different ways, but there are two things they all share.

The first is that none of them likes the idea of ​​saying it out loud.

The second is that to avoid it, they decide to spend time together.

“Spending time together” doesn't mean things like going shopping or eating out.

It means staying alone at home.

All day.

Their favorite activity is putting on pajamas, putting a movie on the TV, and lying down together on the same couch to watch it.
