hiatus announcement

I’m not entirely sure how long for, but this blog will be going on hiatus. This is my final year in highschool and in turn it’s my final chance to get the grades I need in order to get into university. General stress has killed my muse for the time being.

I might reblog a couple muse-related things on here if I see it fits, but other than that I’m out. Feel free to hmu for general chat tho <3

Recently, I’ve been having a craving, so to say, for a character who’s got a bit of spice. Mandy is an absolute dear, of course, but I’m not always in the mood to write her naive, endearing self. Because of this, my muse for this blog has been falling and I’ve becoming less active. Not on a major scale but in a way which concerns me.

...TL;DR I’ll be introducing a Spicy Girl to go on this blog alongside Mandy’s Sweet Girl. At the moment I’m working on fleshing out her story a bit buuuuut if you’re interested in some sneaky peekys then hmu!

Ways to clean up your rp tumblr for the new year so that you can feel refreshed and not dragged down.

1. Delete any asks/prompts/tracked threads that are more than 3 months old. Unless this is a main thread that you specified is on hiatus and is coming back too. 3 months is just too long for you to remember what that meme was you were supposed to answer and I’m sure the person who sent it totally forgot too.

Delete it and do another one! Nobody says you can’t!

2. Clear what blogs you follow. Go through your follow list and clear out anybody who hasn’t posted in 3 months, unless they are a good close friend you are waiting to come back for. Most of these are side blogs where the mun has moved on, or were only temporary to begin with.

Also! Clear out your old aesthetic blogs, main blogs, etc. that don’t fit your style anymore. Everybody changes and what you post about on your blog changes too. Cultivate your dash to fit your needs.

3. Tweak your rules page! You don’t have to redo it completely, that is SO MUCH WORK! But tweak it! Read it over and if you see a rule you don’t use anymore, something that doesn’t fit anymore, or want to go exclusive/come back from exclusive/ now’s the time to do it!

4. Organize your Icons. Don’t like some of them anymore? Delete them! Can’t find the ones you use a lot because they get buried? Put them in a “The Best!” folder. You don’t have to make all new ones to feel productive. Just reorganize them. Use the ones you normally pass over, get rid of the ones you don’t use, put the good ones at the top of your list!

5. Use RP Thread tracker! Honestly this is a godsend for me. Can’t get through your drafts? Feel overwhelmed? Input your threads into rp thread tracker! You’ll never lose them again AND IT WILL GIVE YOU DATES WHEN WAS RESPONDED! That’s my favorite part!

6. Fill up your queue. Even if it’s only a few things right now, put some stuff in your aesthetic queue. This shows people what your blog is about and it’s a good and easy/simple introduction to the theme of your muse. Find some new aesthetic blogs or what I like to do is to go through your Archives and find some old posts you used to love and reblog them again!
