mandizo what are your thoughts .on fuel cells
FUEL CELLS ARE AWESOME……. for some reason when i first learned about fuel cells like years ago i was only given the half reactions and i had to write out the full reaction myself to see whats going on. because the full reaction is just the same reaction as the fuel of choice burning in oxygen. the concept of fuel cells are so cool because like intuitively burning stuff and electricity have nothing to do with each other. like what does fire and electricity have in common Literally nothing. but at the end of the day something burning in oxygen is necessarily a redox reaction where electrons move around between substances so you can make batteries out of it if youre smart about it. and by doing so we are essentially transforming the energy in the forms of light and heat when something burns (cant be effectively used) into energy in the form of electricity which absolutely can be effectively used. how awesome is that……… upon reflection this might be my first ever eureka moment with chemistry
