Bird details
To be nursing nook. We have the nursing chair down in our bedroom to begin with, but eventually will move it right here.
The cradle is a family heirloom.
Second half of the nursery ready!
One side of the nursery ready!
Bathroom reno finished.
35 weeks
All finished.
The brass &, which I got at an antique store, I sewed on. The initials will screwed on from the back.
Oh, and, we finally got the bird stencils painted as well.
Framing project for the wood initials I got on Etsy.
I ordered a plain wood frame online and used colored acrylic paint as the base coat. Then covered that with the same white paint I used on the dining room frames and tree stencils in the nursery. Next, I sanded down the white paint to show a bit of the color underneath.
For the letters I used a cork board I bought at Michael's. Then covered it with quilt batting and linen fabric (which matches the crib bedding).
Next and last step is attaching the letters.
Video of Eliza kicking - like she's trying to escape! Also reminds me of Alien.
All the books on the bookcase were mine or Adam's from childhood and the blocks and magnets as well.
Changing table all ready too.
Finally, cribs are ready!
Started the picture hanging this evening. Also, got the mobile completed and hung.
Hoping the changing table area won't look so bare once we get the pad and such.
The other pictures are in the nook where the nursing chair will be going. I also got these on Etsy... about 4 years ago! I didn't know I was saving them for a nursery, but think they work great.
This is the high chair we decided on... it converts to a youth chair and can be used up through age 5.
Oxo is an awesome brand.
This house is getting built across the street from ours. Interesting to watch the progress.
Bathroom building progress... almost done.
