Also...I wanted to give special thanks to the ACM program at UHWO for letting me shine and giving me an experience I won't ever forget. I found my place and my purpose in the program and for that I am grateful. I made a lot of friends whom I'm glad I got to know and I'll miss them. But most of all you've helped me grow and become better as a person and a designer. I am so glad to have been a part of the program and if I could I would do it all over again.

Tomorrow is the big day! The past 2.5 years in the Academy of Creative Media program has been amazing and it feels so awesome that tomorrow it's all gonna get paid off. Every project and assignment, I always made sure to put my heart and soul into it and it's amazing to see how much my work has improved. Reflection

ART 311D was one of my favorite classes in the ACM program where I feel like I learned so much on design. I know that I can take everything I learned in this class and utilize in the real world and know that it’s something that I can use everywhere I design. It taught me to empathize, research, and understand the public and think outside of the box. Everything before this class I knew for design was to sell or make design look cool, hip, and pretty. Through this class, I learned how to take all what I knew and simplify it to where it suits everyone. I learned that a stop sign doesn't have to be pretty but must be legible. I learned that a simple sign sometimes may not be the best solution to a problem. I learned that design can fix problems and design can also be one of the most effective thing for the public. 

People who are not designers or aren’t fond of design and art, think that design is nothing and it doesn’t make a difference, They think no one pays attention to it and no one cares. BUT, who designed the signs on the road, the designs on the bathrooms, the warning signs, safety signs, who gets the information out visually? Designers do. I think this class can not only be just for those who are studying design but also for those who want to understand how change works. 

I believe this class has made me want to always do my research to find out the background history of what I am designing for and it taught me that you always design with a purpose.
