Hello!! What are your thoughts on Midnight's costume eras if you'd like to share?! I just love them all so much and I've taken a crack at a personal redesign of her current costume with the hopes of implementing some more of her debut style. I'd just love to hear some more from such a big fan in terms of what really sticks out intent and purpose wise :D

i wanna start off explaining why i hate most designs, and its because a lot of them rely on the idea that her wearing her costume as a teacher is creepy and that shes a creep or predator. a lot of the redesigns miss the point that shes SUPPOSED to be provocative and have you clutching your pearls. she didnt just show up at the ua as a teacher as an excuse to wear a dominatix-style costume around children because may i remind you she was PERSONALLY REQUESTED BY NEDZU
meaning: not only did they know what they were doing, but they wanted it to be that way.
SECOND. i believe midnight isnt a relevant character to the story, and i think shes just another reflection of misogyny because we ALL know how bnha handles women (like having all adult women somehow being "flirty" with the boys and none of the girls being relevant in the story itself). i dont think shes meant to be important. shes just supposed to be eye-candy, maybe comedy-relief and she was killed just because. NOW THE COSTUMES.
i think its awful. overly sexual for a 17-18 y/o, seems very inconvenient and uncomfortable, the coat will unavoidably get in the way, and its unclear whether shes wearing anything underneath the belt at least. itnprovides no protection whatsoever OR boob support (which i believe to be important), it must be really cold. overall a 2/10

I LOVE THIS ONE. its attractive and has somewhat boob support, several pockets(?), and torso protection, but still not enough. this is kinda the only frame we have on it so its unclear what the shoe situation is here, but for the sake of this discussion, we'll say its the same with the current costume. i also love the gloves, but thats just me. 7/10, the lack of protection is where it goes weak

i used to really hate this one, but ive grown quite fond of it, actually, and i dont really get why so many people hate it. its a pretty good but simple color palette, and i think it helps establish black, purple, and red as The Midnight colors. i hc that this corset is made by real leather with technology that brings extra protection because she once got stabbed. love the belt, and im not sure if it works as a tool belt like the others, but lets say it does, and i really like the concept of not showing skin but leaving nothing to imagination. ALSO, until last week, i used to think those heels wouldn't be effective, but i went to a concert where the dancers wore those same heels all 3 hours, and i was like damn ok.
