Buuuut I'm not quite satisfied of the grayscale bunny. It was too easy. That can't be right.

The challenge is finished for me (well, no, I still have to upload all the pictures on the special gallery for the contest, but the hard part is done)
This was... an adventure. It remind me of all the good parts of being a concept artist (thought, I didn't do it for long) and all the bad parts (some of the theme were HARDCORE).
The worse part of this adventure was that I was planning to use it as an excuse to develop the world of the Little Gods, but, I am NOT happy with the outcome and I'll need to rework it.
so now, I need to make the gallery and wait for the result !

Je vous jure, je les adore, mais c'est la dernière fois que je fais DM pour des grosses têtes ! Ils n'étaient pas censés revenir là avant au moins trois autres séances ! Il reste deux statues à vérifier avant d'avoir tous les indices pour débloquer le petit dieu !
Bon, j'ai juste qu'à la fin de la pause clope pour trouver comment résoudre ça, autrement qu'avec "des rochers tombent, tout le monde meurt".

Eeeeeet c'est fini!
Le challenge est fini pour moi (enfin, non, je dois encore mettre les images dans la galerie spéciale pour le concours, mais la partie la plus dure est finie).
Ce fut... une aventure. ca m'a rappelé tout les bons côtés du métier de concept-artist (même si je ne l'ai pas fait longtemps) et tout les mauvais cotés (certains thèmes étaient HARDCORE)
Le plus mauvais coté de cette aventure, c'est que je prévoyais d'utiliser le challenge comme excuse pour développer le monde des Petits Dieux mais je ne suis pas très contente du résultat, il va falloir repartir de zéro.
Bon, maintenant, il faut faire la galerie et attendre le résultat !

Je ne sais pas ce qu'ils ont fumés pendant qu'ils cherchaient ces thèmes, mais c'est très conceptuel.
Pour rappel et avec mauvaise trad:
Étape 1 : La Trace
Artefact et premier élément du monde qui sera créé.
Étape 2 : Le Site
L'environnement immédiat de la trace
Étape 3 : Le Rite Respirant Vivant, le Rituel?
Un mouvement, un rite répétitif, avertissement, mémoire, foi?
Étape 4 : Les Gardiens
Signes d'une présence, gardiens du rite, indiqué par leur silhouettes, leurs outils, leurs logements, pas de chara design
Étape 5 : Le Réseau
Qu'est ce qui connecte le site et le rituel? Ou sont les autres sites?
Étape 6 : L'Opposition
Qui ou qu'est-ce qui s'oppose au réseau, au rite et à leurs gardiens? (toujours PAS de chara design)
Étape 7 : Le Schisme
Le réseau s'érode, l'opposition le détruit, il y a désormais deux camps.
Étape 8 : L'Effilochage (ou le détricotage)
Le rituel est instable et le réseau ne fonctionne plus, le monde s'effiloche.
Étape 9 : La Construction (aka WTF?!!!)
Le Monde se révèle être artificiel, une simulation, une création, on entrevoit la vérité à travers les failles de l'effilochage.
Ce qui nous amène à la dernière étape
Étape 10 : Le joueur.
Le créateur du monde n'est ni un Dieu, ni un Extraterrestre. Ce n'est qu'un avatar. Tout n'est qu'un jeu créé par quelqu'un d'autre. Il faut montrer la vrai réalité hors du jeu.

Je déteste ça.
Je déteste les histoires, que ce soit BD, romans, jeux vidéos, films, où on trouve le trope de "tout n'était qu'un rêve".
J'ai un peu l'impression qu'on met à la poubelle tout ce qui a été établi au début, tout l'affectif envers le monde ou les personnages, qu'on rabaisse tout ça à un fictionnel de seconde zone.
Et je bloque. c'est pas nouveau, hein, je bloque systématiquement sur ce challenge depuis l'étape 6, mais là, c'est le vide. En fait, la perspective de littéralement mettre à la poubelle l'univers que j'essaye de développer depuis un an pour montrer la "réalité" à la place, me démotive aussi sec.
Je vais finir par juste dessiner un auto portrait en mode confusion, parce que c'est exactement ce que je ressens là.

So, I need to do more art studies. To keep learning, to practice and sometimes when I don't know what to draw.
And since I always loved old timey fairy tales' art, I decided to try and emulate some artists, starting with Sheilah Beckett whom I knew without knowing, cause I'm pretty sure I owned or read some of her books but never knew who did those.
So, I started with an image from the Twelve Dancing Princesses.

Et comme j'ai toujours adoré les vieilles illsutrations de contes de fées, j'ai décidé d'essayer d'imiter quelques artistes, en commençant avec sheilah Beckett, que je connaissais sans connaitre, parce que je suis SURE d'avoir eut ou lut quelques uns de ses livres sans savoir qui les avaient dessinés.

And that's it !
So, good thing about my study: I like it, I liked the pose, the skirt's folds and I think I managed a good look alike from the reference.
Bad thing about the study: The line art. It is not up to the graphic quality of the original, which, I KNOW, that's why I'm doing studies, I need to get bolder in the line thickness, and to find how to emulate the painterly effect. Also working with very pixelated reference doesn't help, I probably need to borrow one of her books to check the technique.

Donc; une bonne chose sur cette étude: Je l'aime bien, j'aime bien la pose, les plis de la jupe et je crois que je suis relativement proche de la référence.
Ce qui est améliorable: L'encrage. Ce n'est pas au niveau de la patte graphique de l'original, je SAIS, c'est pour celà que je fais des études, il faut que je sois plus audacieuse dans l'épaisseur de ligne et que je trouve comment imiter le coté peinture. Aussi, travailler sur des référence assez pixellisées n'aide pas, il faudrait que j'emprunte un de ses livres pour vérifier la technique.

Connect with your local school's admin office and/or their PTA. It's ok to reach out even if you don't have kids at the school. PTAs are organizing mutual aid for school families, safe rides, school observers.

Find an official protest or other event via Indivisible, 50501, FREE AMERICA, or MIRAC. Students at many high schools are staging walk-outs; if your local school is doing this, reach out to school leadership or the PTA and ask how you can support as a community member.
Join the effort to stop Hilton from housing ICE by booking hotel rooms and then cancelling at the last minute. This action can be done from home! The effort is being organized by Sunrise Movement, who are telling activists to target specific hotels one-by-one. More info: SHUT DOWN HILTON
Find people in your area who are actively monitoring ICE and/or stationing themselves in high-traffic areas and ask how you can help. Check for local FB events where people are organizing and just show up.
At minimum, read the COPAL Handbook before you go out to observe. The DFL, Monarca, and other orgs have been hosting online trainings for constitutional observers (though these fill up quickly).
When you see ICE in action, start recording. Be as loud and as disruptive as possible: honk your horn, set off your car alarm, blow your whistle. Let people know that ICE is in the area. If you see someone being detained, try to get their name and a phone number to call their emergency contact.
If you do not feel comfortable observing ICE in person, there are ways you can support from home. Just ask the people who are organizing in your area. I have social anxiety, and I had never participated in any kind of political action before this past Saturday. If I can do it, you can!
Local organizers are requesting that people who help monitor ICE DO NOT participate in 1-to-1 mutual aid efforts, as these can put the families you are helping at risk.
If you have friends/acquaintances who are sympathetic but not politically active, reach out to them. Show them that they're not alone in feeling helpless. Pick a few low-commitment actions from this list and do them together.
A photographer for Getty isn't even a journalist so much as an archivist. ICE violently disrupted the apolitical documentation of what they were doing, violating any and all rights that might flimsily stand in their way. It would have been just as wrong had they done this to an MSNBC reporter hellbent on a spin, but now Abernathy's neutral action as a photographer has been rendered necessarily political by ICE's violence.
They know what they're doing is objectively evil. They have no intention of stopping.

The forest statue has been destroyed by Steven, only its head escaped this fate, stolen by Arthur.
Unlike with the Bamboo Cutter, the greenery line didn't fade away but start acting as: I cite one of the student: "Like a [redacted] Root dragon straight from Mononoke Hime", whatever this mean.
It's being destructive, and I'm starting to believe Steven was right in pleading for the destruction of the statue, but we lost contact with him and Arthur when the root dragon went berserk.

Contrairement au Coupeur de Bambou, la ligne de verdure ne s'est pas fanée mais a commencé à agir comme, je cite un autre étudiant : "comme une [censuré] de racine dragon sortie tout droit de Mononoke Hime" quoi que ça signifie.
Elle est dévastatrice, et je commence à croire que Steven avait raison de plaider la destruction de la statue, mais nous avons perdus contact avec Arthur et lui quand la racine dragon est devenue berserk.
