Watch: President Obama delivers pointedly feminist speech at United State of Women summit
Eighteen hours later.
Hate gets its running shoes on.
Should we be surprised
This is terrifying
It may be worth mentioning in this context that, in addition to what those of us in the US would normally think of as “not white”, there’s a longstanding trend in racist thought (not only among Brits, mind) to exclude Eastern Europeans, people from near the Mediterranean, and ethnic minorities like the Saami—this goes back to the roots of racist ideologies, when early theorists divide things up so that certain ethnicities were “more” white than others. When racists talk about making “Britain white”, they’re definitely including Eastern Europeans.

The anatomy of a good study session.
this makes me sO MAD
1. High school isn’t free. At least public school isn’t. My family has to pay $300 dollars a year for 3 kids to go to school, not including required school supplies, extracurricular funds (you know, sports and clubs that they encourage us to take so out college resumes look good), school lunches and other things that may come up through out the year. That’s 500 dollars a year, minimum. 6,500 dollars for 12 years in school while college is about 40,000 dollars for 4 years.
2. In most states, students have to go to school until they’re 16. Even then, their parents are forcing them to go to school until they graduate. If they are going to college, it’s by choice. Something they want to do.
3. Many kids who are in high school feel as if they are learning useless information, causing them not to try as hard. While in college, what you learn is what you need for a future career.
4. Teenagers are growing up in high school, parents telling them that they are becoming adults, teachers pressuring to choose a career before they graduate, family issues, friend drama, relationship issues and personal issues, like mental health and bullying. This could all come in the way of a teenager not taking there education seriously because there is so much other shit going on in their life. AND NONE OF THIS ENDS AFTER YOU GRADUATE. As an adult, you might not be able to complete work to the best of your abilities because of all these problems, so what makes you think that children in school have to complete all of their work perfectly and if they don’t they’re not taking it ‘seriously.’
First day of classes and I’m already reading. This is a very exciting semester because my course line up is wonderful. Looks like I’m gonna spend my first day reading up on critical race theory.
Hope all of you had a wonderful break!
Do you guys have course you’re excited about ? Let me know, I would love to hear what endeavours you are passionate about!
23.01.16 // when you get distracted half way through your homework and start drawing a self portrait on your notepad
My first post!! On the first clear Friday in days, I’ve decided to throw a one-lady law school party and adversely possessing the biggest table at my favorite coffee shop. Finally get to try out my new Sharpie pen, Twin Liners, and Mild Liners (not pictured).
