Where the winter chill feels a little early this season, mittens and scarves are becoming all the rage. The best thing you can do is just button up and hope for warmer days, though some try other methods, like fanning the flames of a new friendship.

Is that what’s happening here? I’ve had more and more reports of Trouty and Q crossing paths lately and I can’t help but wonder why. We all know Q's on the cheerleading squad while Trouty plays for the football team, but could this alliance be based on more than athletics? After A's unfortunate reappearance, Q just might be running scared… and running right in to Trouty's arms.

Personally, I wonder what B thinks. Sure, they’re BFFs, but I always thought her boyfriend N had a thing for S. And I’m sure we’ve all noticed how close Q and B have gotten in the golden girl’s absence. Two may be a company but three’s a crowd. How many contenders for queen can one borough handle?

Good afternoon, Upper East Siders. But with all the black I’m seeing, how good can it really be? Nothing brings about doom and gloom faster than ignoring the Fall/Winter color trends, even for a special occasion. Was it really only a year ago our favorite troublemaker, A, mysteriously disappeared? And just as suddenly, she’s back. Or at least found. Don’t believe me? Check the papers: front page and obits.

But as we all know, the real story is always the one happening in private, away from the headlines, at home. How’s J coping with the news? Oh, and what was it he was up to when his little sister went missing in the first place?

They say that when someone dies, their secrets are buried with them. But on the Upper East Side, sometimes the dead still speak. I’ve heard rumors of mysterious messages going around the Upper East Side signed with Alison’s nickname, A. Just a coincidence or another of her cruel jokes from beyond?
