Her nose wrinkles at Kylie’s line of questioning. “Of course not, I did a couple of shots and left around an hour in.” A little less than an hour, actually. Dolores has been partying since the goth was a grade school batlet, probably, and that sad little nightclub is by far the worst disco she’s ever been to. Who plays that many Barry Manilow songs in a row? At a club? The DJ’s turntable should have been taken out back and shot like a lame horse.  She takes another drag on her cigarette while she thinks. Intellectually, she understands that Kylie’s just trying to help. She’s a Ghostbuster, she’s another woman, she’s being kind. But emotionally? Dolores has never liked feeling fragile. Especially since truth be told; she doesn't remember how she got to the firehouse at all. Just fragments here and there. It's almost unnerving. Almost. After a moment of consideration, she breaks the silence with a sigh.  “It depends.” She relents. “Do I have to wear the sci-fi pasta strainer if I agree?”

❝The A.V.A.?❞ Kylie wrinkled her nose, ❝Only if you start barking.❞

She didn't understand how she wasn't taking this seriously. Or perhaps she was and wasn't willing to be entirely honest about that. If she didn't really care, she wouldn't have come, right?

She knew if their positions were flipped, she'd rather die than fess up.

❝What does a 'couple' a' shots mean? In less than an hour?—Nuh-uh,❞ Second thought? She didn't want the answer. At her age?

Kylie could never grasp how people could drink like that and move the next morning--especially Eduardo running 5 miles; maybe because she never had the chance to live like a college student. She didn't think she was missing much.

what was egon's favorite bust? what about kylie and eduardo?

The first one. It worked. Even Egon doubted it. He could only run so many experiments, and none had been with an actual subject. It was the culmination of all his year's of work and the start of The Ghostbusters. 

Nothing will ever beat the feeling of that night at the hotel. The thrill of the chase, the sound of the trap clamping shut, and the hissing of steam as it refrigerated. Then the adrenaline of rushing back to the firehouse and securing the entity inside the containment unit. Hissing heat vents, dripping condensation, and a green light; equalized pressure and safe temperature. 

All followed by cheering, celebratory drinks, a good meal and theorizing late into the night about what more they could achieve.

Pure, unadulterated joy. He'd never experienced an excitement or happiness like this. Until then, he never thought he could. He never would have without Peter and Ray.

Shandor’s Curse

Had it been days? Hours? Just a few minutes? The blink of an eye or the beat of a wing? They didn’t know. For most of them this place they were suddenly trapped in was unfamiliar. For a select few, they embraced their revisited nightmare.

Anchored in the Hudson River was Shandor Island. A nearly self-sufficient culture of Gozer worshipers once took residence here. That was until the death of Ivo Shandor; when the island sunk beneath the tidal waves, drowning the remains of the cult and most knowledge of Gozer and the parapsychological sciences of the time.

The Ghostbusters sunk the island once before in 1992 but now it was risen again and this time with a greater vengeance. What allowed it to break the surface again? What power brought the Ghostbusters and their company here?

It’s up to the Ghostbusters to find each other scattered across the dilapidated island by fighting through ghosts, caustic slime, and medieval-modern traps; to figure out what brought them here; and how to get home.

It is so hard to find ask memes anymore—memes that are asking muse's questions. i'm on a hunt for some starters, so in the meantime... anons anyone?

Still using his thumb to uncomfortably trace the intricate divots around the top of his can of coke, Peck furrowed his brows Splenger's way, as he snagged his nail against the can's pop tab and pushed it up and down with a soft repetitive 'tack'. It was primarily a distraction, lest he grew too frustrated with the Ghostbuster's demeanour.

Unless his attendance within the Firehouse garnered him any immediate evidence pertaining to indiscretions or violations on the Ghostbusters' behalf, escalating to confrontation would only prevent future prying. And with his own sensibilities, Peck couldn't allow these men to proceed unmonitored, even if he was not doing the investigation under best practice. So tamping down his conduct until it was comparatively docile was his best course of action to observe unimpeded. Not that he had anyone to report back to currently.

❛ Of course they weren't unfounded! ❜ Peck lifted both hands, still clutching the can in one. A strange thrill coursed through his body at the admittance, because as much as he did not care for the Ghostbusters' opinions, hearing the point straight from the mouth of this machinery's originator was incredibly gratifying. ❛ The EPA is already thin on the ground, we lost 5000 people earlier in the decade. What's one more for the satisfaction of the city? ❜ Whether his accusation was levied at the populace, or just their officials, Peck did not elaborate.

❛ They did not 'approve of my conduct'. ❜ His tone was dry, his accumulating fury seeping out of him at once. He laughed humourlessly. ❛ What a joke. ❜

Dr. Spengler couldn't withhold from flinching at the other man's minor outburst. His eyes darted away to the wall behind Peck and to nothing in-particular. He had to pace himself, otherwise he'd only be able to pay attention to how loud the man was over what he was saying.

The cause for his tension was understandable. Even if it wasn't his own priority. He had resources to rebuild, and had to save some appreciation that pending permits still allowed him to work. Though if they were denied, if wouldn't stop him.

He dusted the salt from his fingers by running them down the front of his lab coat. He made a mental note to buy more boxes. Somewhere. He might have to go further uptown...

❝Compared to... other liberals?❞ he found himself being facetious. How shocking. Could he pass a joke? ❝Yes, I imagine displaying any spine,❞—even if it was a stick up his ass—❝would make them feel threatened... How much longer will this 'suspension' be?❞

Hey Egon! It's Peter, but like from another, another dimension, yeah, either way, just curious, are we married in all dimensions? i

I just wanted to you know uhn calculate the different relationships i can have and their possibilities

"Hello, Peter--," he offered despite how he knew his greeting would be lost. His use of 'another' modifier clued him to where the signal was not coming from (68-R) as he tuned the inter-spatial transportation unit. Though, at first transmission, it appeared closely related.

"I--," he stopped entirely at Peter's question.

He asked so casually, but to him it felt (to exaggerate) like being hit by a proton grenade. It wasn't as if this was a new concept to him. They had all been rather... Well, they all had their separate thoughts and feelings about the 68-R versions of themselves having... different relationships.

He knew his delayed answer was causing an uncomfortable pause for Peter; but he wanted to choose his words carefully. He cared for Peter, not like how he expected, but cared for him all the same. He hated letting him down. Of all the versions of themselves they'd met across time, space, and dimensions in between, one fact remained true: there was no Ghostbusters without Peter finding him-- saving him.

"I'm...," there was no pleasant way to say it and braced himself for the other's reaction, "I'm sorry, Peter, but... we're not in this one."

Seeing the 68-R version of himself with his Peter made him question many things. He wondered if things could've been different in their universe, but he recognized how they were, sometimes wildly, different.

He never could've imagined his Peter so sober. He wanted to ask about how they met, how they discovered their feelings, how they lived. He stopped himself, knowing it would likely hurt, and that despite all the possibilities he knew Ray was his person over anyone.

"Why don't you ask your husband?" he forced the well-meaning question from his mouth. It wasn't even a legal union in this dimension though he wouldn't mention that. How blissful these adjacent planes seemed...

"Or," he started again; knowing himself well enough he wondered out loud, "are you trying to surprise him with the answer? You don't give yourself enough credit, Peter. I know that you know the answer."

He couldn't meet his eyes but softly smiled anyway. It was infinite. Every choice they made branched them off into other worlds. The possibilities were boundless, forever expansive, and positively endless. Just as his feelings were for his husband; and so his feelings for his Ray.
