idk who needs to hear this but if someone is religious, it is their business. you aren't funny or edgy for expressing your hatred for all religions on earth (which i doubt anyway, because i dont think you know all roughly 4000 religions on earth). if you have your own gripes with it, that's fine. whatever. but also don't generalize, and don't make it anyone else's problem. i do not care what religion it is. just keep your lovely mouth shut.

Look I'm not gonna go off on every religion in the world.

But also people have religious trauma and should be able to say they aren't comfortable discussing or being around that stuff.

But also. Sorry. It's not about being edgy or funny when I and many other people express our hatred for various religions. It's about the proven fact that a majority of religions hold abusive practices, fit the requirements for cults, idolize a God or God's that fit majority or all the flags of someone abusive, are fundamentally abusive and isolating as a system, thus structurally flawed, and tend to normalize or ignore abuse within their communities, often influenced again by the fact they idolize and encourage questionable figures and rules. This doesn't get into his religions and religious communities are one of the longest standing sources of homphobia, racism, misogyny, etc etc into the modern day world.

So sorry, not sorry. I will hate on religion. I will continue to protest many religions in my area and support those trying to flee some of them(mainly the lds church and flds church). I will make it clear that I do so. And I will continue to tell my friends that I do not want to hear about their religion and how good it supposedly is(spoiler, they almost always accidentally reveal red flags anyways trying to defend it). Even to the few people who might have truly been in a non abusive, non cult like religion, statistics show *that* is the exception. Not the other way around.

And for the record, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Missionaries are not helpful or kind or polite. They harrass strangers doorfront, and only offer community services contingent on being harassed into accepting god(often with threats of hell and death, also not friendly) and typically contingent on not being lgbtq, poc, abstinent, and so on depending on the church and community.
