the thing that actually pisses me the fuck off is that hxg is both controlling everything about the katseye girls while also leaving them to deal with everything on their own. like when they go live everything is scripted but when they're out in the world none of them know how to react to anyone mentioning manon. they were vibing with the fans from the van and then instantly PHYSICALLY ducked down the moment they mentioned Manon. Sophia clearly answered the question about her hiatus on that one radio talk show on her own & said nothing because hxg is holding them in limbo too.
the girls were the ones who had to deal with the racism issues within themselves (ex manon for nylon & how unfair it is that she's treated as the lazy black girl), megan & lara both addressed the megan acne situation & their grammy poses off the cuff on live, everything about teasing new releases is completely up to them and it's Sophia that's trying to keep any semblance of mystery and music industry professionalism because hxg is letting the girls run rampant and do whatever the fuck. and of course the rest of them want to tell the fans but I think it's only sophia that's realizing that's not a good plan. not that hxg is telling the rest of them
so they're free to say anything and their music and choreo is the worlds worst kept secret anyway but also theyre under contract and NDAs and a million other agreements that they cant publicize anything the company doesn't want for them to say, so if i had to guess, manon's situation wasn't addressed until that radio talk show interview because hxg didn't tell them what to do and Sophia literally said "fuck it, we ball" and answered in a non-answer just to get people off their back
its not that I don't think the girls are media trained its that I think it was a slapstick effort and really badly done, and they aren't getting media instruction at ALL so they don't know what the company public policy is. they're assuming same as we are. Sophia said a non-answer because hxg and manon introduced a non-answer. do u understand what I'm trying to say
