I cannot believe it is already October! 🎃🍁🍂I have continued to keep my 6-day a week schedule. And have noticed that I can use heavier weights. My running is improving and I am slowly (very slowly) building stamina. I can't remember a time that I have been this busy in a very long time. School, work, and the gym have been keeping my schedule pretty full! 💥Week #22 ➡10/1/16💥 Right Arm: 12.25 in 💚This month: 12.0 in (-0.25) Left Arm: 12.25 in 💚This month: 12.0 in (-0.25) Right Leg: 24.75 in 💚This month: 24.75 in (-0) Left Leg: 24.5 in 💚This month: 24.5 in (-0) Chest: 38.0 in 💚This month: 37.75 in (-0.25) Waist: 32.0 in 💚This month: 31.75 in (-0.25) Abs: 35.0 in 💚This month: 35.5 in (+0.5) Hips: 41.5 in 💚This month: 40.5 in (-1.0) Inch Loss: -1.5 in Total inch loss: 22.0 in
Honestly I’m so sick of seeing rich-girl fitness. Don’t show me pretty vegan smoothies in mason jars held by a girl with perfect makeup, a manicure, and a color-coordinated running outfit. Show me diets and workouts that I can manage when I’m working 13 hours days and living on a budget. Show me how to eat healthy when I have 5 minutes for lunch. Show me small things I can do to help my body. Show me workout plans that I can do outside of a gym when I can’t afford a membership. I don’t have time. I don’t have money. Half the time I don’t have the motivation to get up in the morning. But I have a body. I want to be healthy.
After a little hiatus...
I have been taking a break from social media lately. Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, and Snapchat.... All if it. I have been working full-time and started going to school again as a full-time student. Even with such a full schedule, I have been able to keep up with my workouts. Weight training 6 days a week and cardio at least 3-5 times a week. I still have my eyes on the finish line of my first 5k, but have discovered that I am prone to shin splints. KT tape has been my best friend for the past couple of weeks. I have also decided to change up how I am keeping track of my progress. I started using a fitness planner and utilizing my fitbit. Perhaps the most important lesson I have learned through my journey is to not focus on the number displayed on the scale. Because of this, I stopped doing my weekly weigh in. Instead, I will weigh in once a month. That way I can still track my progress, but not obsess over the half pound of bloat that happens....or the extra pound that is muscle. I have also decided to do my measurements once a month with my weigh ins. Again, this is because I was focusing on the numbers rather than results. I can see muscles forming and can notice my clothes fitting different, but I was really putting myself down for not seeing my weight and measurements drop. To me, that is the opposite of how I am supposed to feel on a health journey. I am trying to find self-confidence and self-love, trying to be happy with my results, and changing my life for the better. I do not have time for negativity from myself and am working of focusing on the time I am putting into this goal. I will continue to post progress pictures between weigh ins, though. Sometimes a progress picture helps you see your progress, since we are our own worst critic.
This has been a good week! I'm getting better at this whole running thing, I celebrated my 25th birthday a little too hard, and my lovely bf got me a fitbit❤ I feel a little bloated though, as I am supposed to start shark week soon. I start school in a little over 2 weeks. I will be working full time and going to school full time, so it'll be fun finding a balanced schedule through this fall!

You don’t need to lose weight to be worthy of happiness.
You don’t need to lose weight to be worthy of respect.
You don’t need to lose weight to be worthy of love.
