Therefore: if I see you talking weird about the child versions of these characters (which is the majority of the cast in the story, mind you), I will just block you. Hello. This is my first time using tumblr! I am very shy online but I am also very passionate when it comes to talking about my interests — particularly with Tokyo Revengers and specifically with its live action continuity, though I recently got my hands on the Valhalla arc 2022 stage play DVD and 2025 musical Blu-Ray.

I also write a lot, and my ao3 can be found here. I am constantly working on projects even if they don’t get posted. I am currently writing a Baji essay (sitting at 19k words) since he’s my favorite character, but my other favorites include Kazutora, Mikey, Koko, and Inupi; though I haven’t talked about InuKoko for a while.

My personal favorite pairings are BajiFuyu, BajiTora, and MaiTora, but I fw any pairings that make sense to me.

I talk a ton to my cfs on Instagram, so if ur wondering how I’m spamming so much about Kento Nagayama, TR, etc., within such a short time frame it’s because I’m pretty much transferring all my thoughts from there on my private highlights over here.

It may take me a while to get used to talking to people, but I love to have discussions about character analysis and listen to other people’s thoughts, opinions and interpretations.

I found out that I can sort things on my blog via different tags so that’s fun!! I plan to put “manymango posting” for specific stuff I’ve made so they don’t get mixed in with the reblogs; along with tagging other categories for the other topics that I talk about frequently so I can find them more easily.

For future reference, my Baji specific analyses are tagged under “#thoughts on baji” and my Kazutora analyses are tagged under “#kazutora yap” for those interested.

I could probably write really banger, super awesome Baji fanfic if I ever actually committed to creative writing I'm ngl. It's just that analysis yap tends to come easier to me. My main problem is that I like consuming stories and discussing my thoughts on them rather than actively making my own stuff.

Full respect to all fanfic authors that publish frequently because even though I'm technically good at writing and have, like, five million ideas, executing the ideas themselves is pretty difficult for me personally. As in, every time I sit down to write a creative storyidea it feels like I'm castrating myself LMAO.

Anyways I find it deeply impressive whenever someone posts anything above 5k words, because that shit is hard asf.

Hello! I am writing this to let my mutuals know that due to my MCAT coming up in less than a month, I will be less available over DM’s for immediate responses — as I have to study about six to eight hours a day to make sure I am ready enough to make a high score so that I am an eligible applicant for medical school. So on top of shadowing at clinics and getting ready for my senior year of college (and all that entails💀💀💀), I will unfortunately not be instantly available to talk in one-on-one settings.

However!! I will probably still be available via inbox!! Ik it may not really be optimal, but it’s just that one-on-one dm’ing takes a lot more energy as opposed to, yk, doing the ostensible equivalent of emailing people — and that way I can have more time to think of responses(!!) rather than having the expectation of replying right away when I currently cannot provide the emotional energy to uphold conversation. That, and I noticed that inbox messages can be sent discretely if people wish to keep discussions private.

Anyways, thanku for understanding. I am honored that people have been including me in discussion conversations, and I will still be relatively active on tumblr but it’ll most likely just take the form of me liking people’s posts or publishing things as opposed to direct messaging or discord.

it was peak. the relationship between Takara and Yujin was insane and complex as hell. i need more of them. and the production was also just incredible, the composition, the lighting, the everything. holy shit.

What I’ve been saying!! I’m so glad I can yap abt one of my favorite shows now and it’ll make sense to someone lmao😭😭😭😭. I’m so excited!! Though any thorough yapping will have to wait until I’m done with my. Six hours of daily studying (😦😦).

One of my friends was just talking to me the other day about the references to Chekhov (since they’re studying Russian literature) in the context of Double’s storytelling while I was writing down notes and ohhh my god the references are so clever!! Even outside of the references, the subtle ways the storytelling sets up certain plot beats before tying them back later (like the episode with Takara, the imagery of the two birds, his character smiling instead of scowling after his friends as they drive away, and the way he realizes “this is way that Yujin probably feels”) is so carefully layered in multiple ways, and I can talk for hours abt ts lmao (/srs).

(Also with that scene with Yujin, I think it’s interesting how when he tells Takara to scowl at the other actors, it’s ostensibly the way he WANTS to react to the situation as opposed to how he ACTUALLY reacts to the situation, which is smiling bittersweetly at his loved one as he’s leaving him; envious yet also supportive).

The main thing I love about the show is, ofc, the dynamic between the two main characters because lowkey they start out in a concerningly codependent place (to the point where I noticed that they’re overtly reliant on each other, and the thing is about me the codependency in media has to be really bad and really noticeable for me to actively realize it’s codependency while I’m watching it instead of having to step back and think abt it) but end the show as equals and I think that’s really beautiful.

Anyways in terms of storytelling and character writing and music (putting my hand over my mouth before I could yap about how the names of the soundtrack itself plays into telling the audience how certain characters are feeling even if they’re not saying anything out loud) and lighting and references to real world plays, ts is just like. Stacked.

There’s just so much to analyze and this show is legitimately right up my alley lmao but ugh I’ll have to talk about it more in depth later. IM BEING HELD IN A CAGE💀💀💀💀💀 HELP💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

Also this reminded me that I also had planning for a fic with a similar concept which was also vaguely inspired by “This Flightless Dove” by Natileroxs on ao3. That fic was just so peak I had to think about Ghost Kazutora some more.

NOW IF BAJI LIVED, that would be a really interesting case in fanfic, because I’m 100% sure Baji would be absolutely miserable. He just cannot live without Kazutora; I think he would view that as the ultimate failure of the responsibility he shoulders I’m ngl.
