I’ve seen those videos where people do ponytails for their little girls by using the vacuum cleaner, and I am happy to say that I am at least a little better than that, thankfully! It’s true, I’m surprised you don’t walk around talking about your bollocks and calling everyone a wanker.

You said that, not me. Yuppers, definitely gotta say that you do but I still like you regardless. Good to know, so you won’t be banned from coming anywhere near Violet. I’ll leave that to the experts aka you and James. Hopefully, you’ll get everything sorted out because its almost time for school.

Society was basically built on rules, anyway, right? Even if it does take some of the fun out of everything, they’re there for a reason. Very much so, it gives them time to do all of the girly bonding that I’m not very good at. We could teach you the Scottish accent! As long as you’ve been around me and James, I’m surprised that you haven’t picked up on it on your own already.

Look at you being all smart and knowing things. Maybe you could impart some of that, family-friendly knowledge on James. If you do ever need help with anything girly when you have her, I’m happy to help. There are also classes and videos online. Just make sure you know how to do a decent ponytail and braid and you should be good to go. I refuse to because I’m that stubborn but if I wasn’t, I probably would have already.

Also very true, since you never know when that might end up hitting you. Me too, I’m off now until we get back from the Spain trip, at least, which should be pretty nice. She’s not, nope. She’s with her mum, then she’ll probably spend most of August with me while we figure out the schooling situation and what works best for both of us.

We want to have fun but we also want to keep our friendships so rules it is. Makes sense, I’m sure they’re enjoying the time together. I’m sure you’ll both figure it out what’s in her best interest. Anyways, in the meantime if you miss having a kid around, you’re welcome to come over even though I fear I’ll be the only one in the house without that accent.

Sometimes rules are necessary, aye? They might take a little bit of fun out of the situation, but at least they’re going to help us remain mostly sane. Emphasis on mostly, though! It’s a lovely city, with so, so much to offer, so I try not to complain too much, but the weekend reprieve back in Bayview was nice. Even if I had to dive right back into the heat.

True and help to filter out most of the hurt that could come about as a result if we weren’t too careful. I’m glad that you were able to come home for a couple days. Sometimes that’s all you need especially when it means sleeping in your own bed. So is the munchkin with you?

The worst thing about playing a character of many accents is that even when I’m talking in my own voice, I’m told it’s really good and to “do another.” Sitting next to a very chatty woman on the flight into town was great and all but I can’t even count the amount of times she asked if I’d been watching a lot of Beatles interviews to perfect my accent. Nope, this one is genuine. Moving to a new place means I need to make friends though and I want to know all the best places in town, so I would be open to talking in any accent you like that makes me easier to understand. For all future new friends, I’m Jodie and I’m also happy to confirm I’ve killed a lot less people in real life than on my show, so please don’t be scared.

Fans are great and all but sometimes you just want to be left alone. I know I do when I’m on the plane and not with my family. Still, doing multiple accents is impressive so I’m not surprised the woman was curious. Pleasure to meet you, I’m Scarlett and welcome to town. Coral Street Cafe is the best coffee in town and the Getaway is the perfect summer hang out spot. Good to know though I’ve been meaning to sit down and watch it because so many people have told me great things about it.

You never know! Revenge can be a great motivating factor to some people, maybe it would inspire them to do something we wouldn’t expect. Absolutely; you’ve got to open yourself up to surprises and new experiences to make life a little more exciting. Here’s to hoping; it’s hotter than hell down here, though.

I still think that it would be a lot of fun even if we have to put some rules in place so it doesn’t get too out of hand. That makes life worth living or at least, is one of the reasons anyways. Oh, I know it. I’ve filmed there before so I’ve had that experience.

You raise a good point there but do you really think they’d go through all that effort? It really is because sometimes the most fun is the most unexpected. Awesome, I’m sure you’ll have a good time and I’m sure your fans will be excited too.

Very true; there’s a lot of reasons that we get along well, but that’s definitely a pretty big one. Other than working on the new film, do you and the family have any summer plans?

Yes, that’s very good to know. Though, you gotta admit there’s got to be a certain person in town you’d let loose and have fun writing about just for the hell of it. At the moment, nothing’s set in stone. Who knows what will come our way. How about you?

That’s the sort of thing that seems like a great idea until you actually have the pamphlet in your hands and you’re reading it and realize that some things aren’t meant to be seen by your own eyes. Although I would imagine that some people would say really nice things, too. I would definitely be one of those people, for what it’s worth. That’s true; but the little surprises that are just pleasant (or maybe bring about some tears) are alright, those I like.

You raise an excellent point especially knowing who lives in town so may be we should rethink this. For me, it would definitely depend on the person but I think, you’d get something nice from me so no worries. You know, you’re not the only one who feels that way and that’s probably one of the reasons we get on so well.

If there was a pamphlet of all things Scarlett, it would probably be on the first page, right under your name and birthday, aye? I’m alright with that; we have to break the rules eventually, right? So it might as well be by being the exception. I do know, I’m the same way, minus the fact that I’ve been sitting around a bit! I’m interested to see, too. I’d ask for hints and spoilers, but I think it’s best to be surprised! And, you know, not getting you in trouble with the powers that be.

I feel like that would be an interesting challenge for my friends....get them to create that about me. Though....do I really wanna know what you’d put on there? Or worst, what Evans would put on there? The Avengers group chat is scarring enough as it is. True, that’s the best way to do it. Except for, necessary warnings regarding serious matters that viewers deserve to know about beforehand.

Pretty sure its one of the first things new friends learn about me, to be honest. We really do and I can’t imagine doing anything else as my career though we’re the exceptions to the rule and not the rule itself. Yeah, I really am. I don’t wanna waste my time sitting around. You know? This is gonna be pretty interesting. Who knows who may or may not pop up.....

I wouldn’t have traded it for the world, but… I also wouldn’t complain about being the baby and getting spoiled all myself. Kidding, probably. I’m glad to hear. What are you working on right now?

If you didn’t know that about me then I’d doubt our friendship but I’m glad that’s not the case. Pros and cons for both sides, I think. I’m happy with how my life has turned out. I’m currently filming the Black Widow movie and doing the voice work for the Sing sequel which is a lot of fun. I’m happy to continue Natasha’s story.

Whenever my family asks me if I plan on having more kids, I tell them that I grew up with two siblings that tortured me, so no. They didn’t torture me, but I can still tease. Have you been enjoying the weekend?

Oh, you’re on my friend. This could be a challenge but I’m so game for it, you don’t even know. That’s fair. I loved growing up with siblings so I’m to have two wonderful kids. Oh that’s totally part of the sibling charm after all. Yeah, it was a great weekend but now time to get back to work. You know how it is.

No, that’s true. The list of things that you have to worry about when it comes to me is probably pretty small – that’s my goal, anyway. You have no problems with having a bigger family, right?! Because I think you’re stuck with things being this way. That’s true, I always try to keep the popcorn from falling down between my bosoms, obviously! I’ll be there to at least watch everyone make fools of themselves milking cows.

I think you’re onto something there though that might mean I need to sit down and figure out what that list includes at some point. Nope, I grew up with a nicely sized one so I always dreamed having one similar of my own and I couldn’t ask for a better partner to do it with. Good, I’d expect nothing less.

It’s alright, he and I have been feuding over whether or not he deserves two Happy Meals (I firmly believe that he does not), but I would still let him sleep on my couch to give you a bit of a break. It’s alright, I always did like the surprise factor of having popcorn thrown at me. Or being smacked. You would, but… clearly not.

You’re a good egg, Ger so I don’t have to worry about those kind of things around you. Of course you two are. Apparently I have four human kids and not 2. Like I said, good egg. Well, at least you don’t wear low cut tops where the popcorn could get caught. Eh, well what are you gonna do? Think you’ll head out to the ranch for the open house?

Here I was, thinking that I was being deep, meaningful and appreciative, and now you’ve just made me grateful that I don’t ever have to deal with menopause, so thank you for that! It really does, doesn’t it? I’m hoping that you’ll shove popcorn in my mouth rather than smacking me, but I completely understand and accept that I would deserve it. Especially if I talked during the good parts.

Why not both? You can be deep while grateful you don’t have to deal with that along with the way. Though, you may have to deal with James crashing on your couch when that time comes so who really wins in the end. You know, I think I’ll just keep you guessing until the very last moment. You think an actor would be more appreciative than that.

That’s how I feel, too. Is that a sign that we’re getting older and just want to surround ourselves with good people…? That’s the way that I’m going to choose to look at it, anyway. You’re not wrong, I wish I had been that motivated and had decided to get something done instead of just lazing about, but it was a good week for that, too. I’ll come over and talk during all of the good parts so you get a movie theater experience.

Maybe but I’ll take it, I think. It’s one of the more pleasant ways of knowing for sure. I’m dreading the day I go through menopause. There’s a time and place for doing things and for not doing anything, so it all works out I think. You would do that, too. Just know you’re liable to get smacked, have popcorn stuffed in your mouth or both.
