If you are cis and you unconditionally love trans people, please mark your calendars for March 31st and post something nice for the trans people in your life to feel loved and appreciated. Celebrate trans lives. Post a selfie wearing pink, blue, and white, or wearing yellow, white, purple, and black with a caption about how much you want trans people in your life. Tell your trans family, friends, and neighbors you love them and you are grateful for them in your life.
The whole world is on fire right now and many groups of people are vulnerable, but if you have the time and space to love and appreciate other groups of people, please also make the time and space to shout from the mountain tops how much trans people matter to you on March 31st. It feels like we don't have enough people fighting, kicking, and screaming for how much of ourselves we have to hide away and sacrifice in a world that keeps growing increasingly more hostile, inhumane, and violent towards us.
Please celebrate loudly.
And if other people say something unkind about how much you love trans people, just delete their comments. Don't give them the time and space to "just ask questions" or "just stating facts."
