I want to get into otome games and also am looking to buy a new handheld. Conventional wisdom says I should get a 3DS (I had one years ago and loved it) but I've also always wanted a vita (and am generally a PS girly for things that aren't Nintendo exclusive like splatoon and animal crossing). I've decided to leave it to the otome people

One of the best things in emacs (at least for me) is the ability to run elisp code wherever. I suck at mental math so its nice to just (+ 237 198 18 95 60) C-x C-e and have the answer to whatever. This is also probably useful in other ways but mostly I just use it as a calculator

They should bring back expansion cards instead of people only putting in just a graphics card. Like I do not give a shit about the ports on my motherboard and I want more expandability of my choosing instead of built in features I don’t use. I want the creativity to add all my silly little contraptions into my pc without running out of slots because my motherboard only has two pcie slots and one’s only 1x speed. And airflow be damned my lil guy has all the ports to be comfortable with itself instead of a predetermined set out of its control.

I find it funny itanium was killed off just before the big ai boom. The core flaw of vliw archs (being able to infer how instructions should be packed most efficiently) seems like an easily solvable problem in the wake of machine learning being funded like crazy

cozy game is such a weird term to me i feel like it gets applied to so many genres. life sims farming games rpgs survival games strategy games. i saw someone call dont starve a cozy game. i feel like the vibes of dont starve are quite possibly the opposite of cozy actually.

i was talking to my roommate and she mentioned that she often feels like people say 'cozy game' in the same way gamers would derisevely call something a 'girls game' in the 2000s. which is something to think about tbh. much to consider.
