✧｡ kim taehyung. twenty-four. male. ｡✧ is that ATLAS PARK living at HEIGHTS in APARTMENT #2101? i heard the LAWYER has lived there for A YEAR now. every time you pass by you can hear MIRRORBALL by TAYLOR SWIFT playing. maybe they play it because they’re friends would say they’re the MALLEABLE. it could just be me assuming things. even if they would say they are COMPASSIONATE and PATIENT that doesn’t mean they can’t be GULLIBLE or COWARDLY. let’s just stop by and ask them sometime. considering they’d describe themselves as ornate rings and turtlenecks tucked underneath casual blazers, crumbled papers and cluttered files sprawled out across the table of the local diner, and the fresh scent of a signature cologne lingering in the air. that’s if they’ll actually answer the door. good luck.
hello everyone, I’m emma and this is my little dork atlas! I’m a little late ( as usual ) but I’m so excited to be here and I can’t wait to talk to / plot with all of you! if you want to find out more about the details of atlas or read a more detailed version of his backstory, you can find all of that HERE. however, if you want the condensed version along with a little bit about his personality and a few wanted connections, then you can find all of that below the cut!
SUMMARIZED HISTORY:
atlas was born and raised in san diego to his biological mother and father, both lawyers as well. both of their hectic schedules meant that neither of them had a lot of extra time to give to atlas and, seeing as he was an only child, he spent most of his time alone as a result. however, his parent’s busy schedules never stopped them from making time to push some very heavy expectations and challenges onto him. they planned out every detail of his life, expected everything done perfectly, and accepted nothing less than exactly what they’d envisioned. for most of his childhood, he accepted this as his reality and strove to simply conform to their every whim. however, now that he’s become exactly everything they ever hoped he’d be, he’s beginning to wonder who he would be without all of that.
PERSONALITY:
upon first meeting, atlas comes off very proper and put together. or, to some, monotonous and perhaps even a little fake. he’s spent his whole life being taught the importance of appearances and was forced to attempt to master the ability to be just enough of everything that he could be anything to anyone. as such, he tends to reveal very little about himself during casual conversation or with casual acquaintances. some find that intriguing, some find that incredibly infuriating. he simply considers it a byproduct of his father’s relentless reminders to withhold information until it’s beneficial for you to share it. however, all of those habits and misconceptions are merely shallow facades that are easily pulled away if one cares enough to look. because, truly, he’s the total opposite of what he appears upon first meeting. he’s playful and loud and curious - perhaps so much so that he verges on childish sometimes. he’s also much less confident in himself than his initial composure would suggest, quick to take other’s opinions and critiques to heart. he’s caring, perhaps to a fault, and optimistic to the point of verging on idealistic; all traits that are so rarely allowed to be highlighted in his line of work and with how few of people he lets in enough to truly know. all in all, he’s a good person who is trying to delicately walk the balance of who he has always been expected and taught to be and who he has always been and who he has become despite all of it.
