FATE
define fate ? - fate is like something that is planned out for you like a written out future for you. can you fight your fate ? - I think you can fight your fate. Your fate depends on the certain things you do. All you gotta do is really fight for what you want. If you don't, then your fate wont be changed. If you fate, is decreed, describe your future ? - I think I would probably go to college, have a family and do a job something like oceanography because i seem to always be in water and looking at tide pools, fishing, diving, or even sailing. Even my favorite sport (beach volleyball) is on the beach.
Lit Crit #1
In to kill a mockingbird there are so many symbols and themes. Many of these symbols complete or add on to the theme of the book. The first big theme I saw was the coexistence of good and evil. Which mainly talk about the moral nature of human beings. Meaning whether people are essential good or essential evil. I think thats why the author
Preschool Memory
When I was in preschool my cousin and I got into a argument and she bit me. So I decided to bite her back. After we both had our parents come to the school, and we needed to apologize to one another.
02/25/14 1. What is happening ? Bassanio is choosing the chest that will determine if he gets to marry Portia. 2. Bassanio's point is that looks can be deceiving, like the smallest beautiful things can deceive. And also that writings can be misleading you to think something is morally right even though it can turn out to be morally wrong. 3. I agree with this completely. Everyday stuff like this happens when you judge someone by the way they look. Like when they say don't judge a book by its cover. 4. My first year here at MPI everyone judged me by the way I looked. They thought I was a big TITA that bullied everyone around and that I also wasn't very smart and I came from a public school. They would sometimes ask me if I could beat someone up for them. But when they actually got to talk to me and learn more about me they realized I wasn't like that. I came from a private school, I'm a big teddy bear inside, and that I was actually pretty smart. Don't judge the book (person) until you read the inside.

On Wednesday I was starting to feel a little slow. But then towards the end I started to pick things up. First I finished finding examples from the Book. I also finished my first slide and found slides. But today (Friday) I felt kinda on a roll. Meaning very productive. I finished like 5 slides. I have note cards for what i'm going to say for three of them. And I feel like I could be finished with this whole thing on monday. And also be ready for wednesday.

Today in class I was very groovy and small kind hyper. But I still felt pretty good on what I got accomplished. I got to choose 2 scenes from the book that I can use as examples. I also chose a theme that I think I can expand on and maybe add two more themes in on the way.
Critical Question Of The Week #1
This part of the book shows a lot of meaning to me. The first part showed me that this man was planing everything for 9 years and he is thanking god for the opportunity to win. In this sense he is talking to the gods as if they made this possible for him, like they were the main reasons why he won. The second part showed that this man took many years and hard work to figure out these schemes but for Odysseus it just came to him. Odysseus might of had to think but it probably would have taken him about 5 minutes. What type of person does this show of odysseus ? The man also said that "for that grand man was first by along way in all plots and plans and schemes." This meant that even though people are still working hard to make schemes and to be ahead of Odysseus, Odysseus will still always be one step or more ahead of the game (everyone else). Do you ever feel like you can be always one step ahead of the game ? Like doing HW a week before its due ? Coming to practice early, set the net up, go get iced, and be changed and ready before everyone else ? I think this character "Nestor" showed respect, humbleness, and gratitude towards Odysseus. The way Nestor could speak about how grand Odysseus was, was really interesting. I usually thought that people who knew other people that were better than them at something would be jealous of them and kinda talk smack about them to others, like to make that you are the better one. This part of the book made me think of my own life. When I read this it made me think like I was Nestor. When I take a test it usually takes me at least the whole time to finish it, when the rest of the class finishes before me. But when i try to rush through so I wont be the last one anymore I just mess up terribly. Sometimes though I need to realize that I was doing good when I didn't rush through and syke my self out. I also realized that many people might always be a step ahead of you on somethings, but you should be proud of what you have accomplished.
