every episode he’s in a new town just saving various women/children/library workers from bad situations and then coming down from his hulk rage in fun odd places

Brennan has always said that Fantasy High is a parody on high school movies, however, they did the 'makover montage' better than anyones ever done it.

Adaine doesnt change her look to impress a date or to not look like a nerd anymore. They used the makeover as a way to let her set herself apart from the frame that her parents put her in, allowing her some self expression for the first time in her life. And she doesnt go for some extravagant, ultra personalized style. Unlike teen movies in which drastic changes are made in a day, Adaine chooses a basic, normal teen outfit which honestly is much more realistic. She hasnt figured out her style or the things she enjoys outside of her controling household, and she's taking baby steps.

i feel like the core of where the thistlesprings fail gorgug To Me is that, bc of the circumstances involving gorgug's adoption and how that led to their falling out with the rest of the family, they both became so determined to raise gorgug with love and affection and NOT with the fear that he's destined to lose himself in violence, that they then swung to far in the other direction. so now, to wilma and digby, any admittance that gorgug HAS a temper, and DOES genuinely experience the world very differently than the two of them as a half-orc (both physically bc of his greater strength and height and socially bc of how non-orc people view orcs) feels like saying their families were right. and that's something neither of them will ever do, bc they love their son, and they would NEVER regret making him part of their family.

Fabian being one of the less famous bad kids is so so important to me. Fig and Gorgug are famous rockstars and Fig is the archdevil of rebellion. Adaine is the oracle of all peoples. Kristen is the saint of mystery and doubt. Even Riz is a famous PI and has legend lore for killing multiple BBEGs. Fabian is the oracool of dance, maximum legend, but of all his friends he's not the best known. The fact that he doesn't seem upset about this in junior year, that he takes being Maximum Legend as his major goal, is such good character growth.

His father was William Seacaster, who told Fabian to write his name on the face of the world. For someone who took that to such heart in Freshman year, he's remarkably okay with simply being there for his friends. For being famous as a group, not as a leader or a solo act. Fabian my boy ilysm ☹️

weird slightly summer related Bad Kids headcannons:

gorgug can skip pretty much any rock and they skip like a million times. this comes from the fact that one of the ways he used to calm down from a rage was to throw rocks in the pond by the thistlespring tree but eventually he realized that he could skip them and became amazing at it.

the bad kids like to go to the lake and try to collect rocks for him to skip wading in the water and count how many times they skip

adaine cannot swim and especially cannot float. if she is deep water she sinks like a rock and no matter how many times the other kids have tried to teach her she just cannot swim, so when they go out to swim adaine always hangs in the shallow end or gets dragged around on a floatie

kristen loves carrying people around in the water. if your in the pool with her your getting cradled or put on her shoulders or just dragged around she loves it's so fun

fig likes to convince people to do cheer tosses with her in the water. she loves standing on gorgug's shoulders and she's always trying to convince riz to climb on but he is convinced they'll fall and he'll get crushed
