This one is personal. Almost 6 years and a long running campaign full of hilarious bits, plot twists, dramatic deaths, and moments that will genuinely live rent free in my head. This campaign, starting with the Yawning Portal adventures and growing into something bigger and entirely its own, became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. A lot changed in those years. I got together with my partner (even though our characters got together first in this very campaign, hah), changed jobs, and moved. But what won't change is how much this band of misfits means to me. This poster was commissioned by my DM, but it was also so much more than that. The biggest commission I've done so far, literally: 7016x9933px at 300dpi, 5 characters, and a whole lot of detail. Thank you for over five years of storytelling, for trusting me with this piece, and for going to a 24h print shop on a Sunday night to have it printed as soon as you got it. That detail is going to be my north star whenever I start doubting myself and questioning if anything I do matters to anyone. And thanks to my fellow players for experiencing this journey with me. Darcy, a dashing and gentle Reborn Eldritch Knight who uses embroidery and tapestries to cast spells. Using threads of the weave as a garrote is such a cool idea! 🧵✨ There’s something deliciously unsettling about magic that looks delicate but isn’t.

Embroidery is a recent hobby of mine so I instantly resonated with this concept. I love when D&D classes get unusual, flavorful twists.

Taigan Adalynn - Back when he was an enchanter wizard, he treated magic as a substitute for connection. It was a way to control situations he struggled to navigate socially and get what he needed, or wanted, when others proved difficult. A thinker and a strategist above all else, Taigan never left an idea unexplored. Solving problems felt like puzzles to refine endlessly, and was sometimes more enticing to him than actually putting those plans into motion.

After his life turned upside down, he is no longer the man he once was. He barely recognizes his past self - the manipulator and self-serving opportunist - and struggles with the weight of that transformation and all of the events that made it happen.

His sister’s constant presence, although annoying, grounds and stabilizes him. When he’d falter, she keeps him strong and focused on the goal ahead, and in turn, he helps her slow down and plan the bigger picture. In the past, their collaboration had catastrophic results, but hopefully both of them learned from their mistakes?

They are two sides of the same coin.

Tisseia Adalynn - evocation wizard with strong willpower and a fiery yet refined temperament, she is decisive, ambitious, and brilliant; the kind of woman who knows exactly what she wants and refuses to be redirected. Magic, to her, is a force to be used. A tool rather than theory.

Where her brother might overthink and hesitate, Tisseia acts with sharp wit and quick judgment. She's the force that turns thought into motion and keeps them from standing still.

An unorthodox artificer, Patches weaves her magic into embroidered sigils. Protection, healing, curses… all stitched into the fabric and worn like armor. That jacket, although impressive, isn't just for show.

Finally finished this portrait of one of my main (and fav) dnd characters :') It's been in the making for a really long time but I kept tweaking it, never quite content on how it looks. Now I finally settled on the final result after repainting a good chunk of it again.
