Sara: “Daddy I’m sorry, I won’t stay out late again”
Dad: “We’ve had this conversation before Sara, last time you came home an hour late, past your curfew”
Sara: “I know, but my bus was late Daddy”
Dad: “You said that last time sweetie, these excuses are wearing thin with me”
Sara: “I promise I’ll be on time from now on Daddy and I’ll do double house work chores, for like ever, if you don’t paddle me”
Dad: “Don’t be stupid Sara, you know the house rules about breaking curfew. I didn’t order you to strip and then restrain you, so I could set you double house work punishment chores, although that’s maybe a good idea. Now keep quiet and face the wall directly ahead of you, your going to learn all about punctuality the old fashioned way”
