My twin brother and I hang out usually by slowing watching a tv series together or working out way through a lot of co-op games! We enjoy the Lego games, A Way Out and It Takes Two, and lots of roguelikes like Death Road to Canada, Wizards of Legend and currently: Children of Morta.

The only ending of a game I've ever cried in was Assassin's Creed Black Flag. But I also felt big emotions playing the ending of Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age Origins.

OC Kiss Week Day 2: Playful

I can't help but return @doctormur's super cute drawing of her Rook and my Isadora!!! I imagine this is what happened after Rook brought over her copy of The Magekiller's Bride to read together...

(first drawing is @doctormur's, next two are mine! so funny how our drawing styles are completely opposite... all line + no colour VS no line + full colour 🤣)

Messy Middles

tagged by @nirikeehan!! answering the art version of this on my art blog!

I dare you to show me the "messy middle" of something of yours. It doesn't have to be art (can be writing, cooking, sewing, etc.)

For this one, I thought I'd just show a lot of before/afters of what I usually start sketching an idea with vs what it looked like in the end! I don't always document my process depending on how fast the drawing comes together, but I sometimes save screenshots to my own personal discord of where I got up to before I clock off for the night, so I can stare at it on my phone to find 'mistakes' or see if I'm still liking it in the morning haha.

This one was for DA Kiss Week! I really liked the sketch I did of this one initially - I wanted something cheeky and flirty but still SFW. Usually when I sketch, I try to do minimal details - it's more important that the pose is working and the general expression.

After that, it's extremely important to me that the colours work together. Because I have no lines, it means the colours must have high enough contrast to be legible next to each other. It takes me some time to pick base colours and play around but it's my favourite part haha. Then I merge all my layers together LOL and I pretty much draw over and colour in the rest of the details after that!

Another DA Kiss Week one but just to show how I also lay out a more comic style with text! It's important to figure out where the text goes before I draw in the details - otherwise I run out of space, or I have to erase something I drew!

Not dragon age but one I did of Hadestown after I saw the musical live. This one had more text, so again, good to know how much space I have to work with! Pose was super important here - I don't bother with any details until I'm happy with pose!

This was for Moros from Hades II! Bit different because I did try lineart again for this one... and then remembered how much I hated doing it haha. But I did save my flat colours without lighting yet in the 2nd pic here, so you can see how dark/dull it was before I put in the background and the glowy lights.

And this one was for Viago Week! I still laugh at my draft sketches because somehow Viago is instantly recognisable the moment I just draw on a moustache and goatee HAHA.

And one more for Messy Middles is all the draft sketches I just.... never finished HAHA. It happens. You start something and you just lose the motivation/energy to finish. I still kinda like them but who know if I'll render them out in the end...

Do y'all remember that reference pic of the guy shaving on that chair that went around a while ago? I immediately needed Illario to be there. This was meant to look like the evening before The Wigmaker Job.

That Ship Sleep Dynamic tag that went around! I drew the left pic first and then accidentally merged the character layer to the couch (and I realised late the couch was too small) and I didn't want to draw it again for the right picture so... I gave up LOL. I think the sketch is still cute tho.

And then this Lucanis and Illario one playing chess in the Villa. I really like the sketch.... I started rendering it and it was UGLY lol so I deleted it. Might go back to the sketch and try again tho...

first drawing of the year!! really wanted to do this hairstyle meme for my sweetie Isadora de Riva!! she just looks so... cute... in everything.... im literally crying

Hair Down: I picture this is what she looks like at the end of a long day and she lets her hair down from her high ponytail. Her neck + scalp must be killing her.

Twin Tails: Cute but it makes her look 16 LOL

Bun: Loooove her with the bun. She might do this for formal occasions.

Braid: A messy braid for a more relaxed style, but it still keeps her hair out of her face.

Pixie Cut: I am literally in love with her. Obsessed.

Bangs: I drew this and instantly thought 'she looks so italian' LMAOOO. Also weirdly the bangs seem to age her up!

Short: I LOVE HER!!!! AHHHHHHHH

Accessories: In formal dress representing House de Riva.
