I never doubt Mesut’s words for a second when it came to his claims about the German NT, but I thought retiring was a little bit extreme at the time. But now, after seeing literally NO ONE on the team stand up in support of him, I get why he left. If you don’t even have the backing by your team, its not really a team you want to be a part of. Even if they players don’t agree, they should at least respect Mes enough after everything he has done for them, to either say “I don’t know enough about the situation so I cant comment” or TO JUST KEEP THEIR MOUTHS SHUT!
