No Going Back Now | Blaise & Marcus
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten - already ten tributes had lost their lives, ten funerals were to be planned out. To his tie his hands went, loosening its grip and sliding it off his neck - over his head.
"I guess so - 13 more deaths ‘til the victor." he said with a deep exhale - his eyes wandering about his surroundings at Blaise’s question.
He shook his head - “With what they had at the training center no, I thought of an abandoned city of some sorts.”
"That could have been fun," I hesitated, "I mean, you know. As fun as an arena can be." I watched as he pulled off his tie, and my hand immediately went to my back pocket to check mine was still in there. I was relieved when I realised it was, knowing it could potentially be far more useful than just a fashion accessory.
"I guess we should move, anyway. Wouldn’t want to spend too much time in one place…" In the back of my mind, I wondered where Carmela had gotten to. We had spoken before about allying but it seemed she had gone in her own direction - I just wasn’t sure whether it was on purpose or not. "Any ideas?"
He nodded - "Yeah, sounds like a good plan - maybe head west and hope we don't see the hellhole portion of this arena."
No Going Back Now | Blaise & Marcus
We stopped running, breathing deeply to recover from the sudden rush. It had been total chaos. The blood, the screaming, it had all been so… exciting. I was about to speak, but the temporary quiet was interrupted by the explosion of cannons. I counted ten, and cursed myself that I hadn’t stuck around to finish off Dominic. I could still taste his blood.
"Ten down," I laughed. "I guess that makes our job a little easier." I looked around trying to take in the surroundings, but it didn’t give me that much of an idea. "So I guess this wasn’t exactly what you were expecting either?" I asked him, referring to the arena.

Parties End | One-shot
The lights, sounds, sights, smells - everything became, in terms, boring. To the doors he went - following to the elevators where he pressed to go to the 12th District's Suite.
As he walked down the empty hallway towards where his room was, he peeled off the mask and the tie that had bothered him for the entirety of the party.
When he entered his room - he shed his party attire, donning on a black t-shirt and sweatpants in replacement. Whenever his body collapsed on the capitol-made bed below - he shut his eyes to get sleep.
For if only for a few hours - he needed it.

"For the sake of my own dignity being caught with you like that, let’s get you off this dance floor until you decide a drink won’t kill you." With that, I turned away from him and began to push through the crowd, eventually reaching the chocolate fountain.
Why not, I decided as I held my finger under a waterfall of chocolate. Licking the sweetness off my finger, I turned around to see if the boy had in fact followed me.
"Wouldn't kill me - just worried about the other people around me," he muttered to himself after she left - following where she went since he had nothing else better to do.
As he made his way through the clutter of drunken people - people bumped into him, hitting his arms and back with their bodies as they danced drunkenly.
Finally - he made his way out of the clutter, rubbing the back of his shoulder where he had been bumped into multiple times. Walking over to where Izara was standing - his mask now sideways on his forehead without his realization.

Sadly I opened my eyes just in time to see the sight that was this kid attempting to dance. “You are the main reason why people drink before they dance. If you don’t loosen up you’ll end up dancing like a demented scarecrow for the rest of the night.” Why was I even wasting my time with this failure of a case. The drinks must really be going to my head.
He shrugged apologetically, "Well in the arena - there's no dance contest, if there was I'd be the first one dead. Like I said - I have bad experiences with alcohol, there was a time I was around it, let's just say it changed my mindset on a lot of things."

"When drinking is a way of partying then you learn how to control with it." I shook my head at his refusal to even try to dance. The poor boy had no idea what he was doing. "Just try." I said simply before giving up and realized I was wasting my time on this boy. Instead I let my eyes close and began to move my hips to the music. Although a let less interesting than back home, it would do.
He narrowed his eyebrows at the answer, bringing his head back a bit in confusion,"That doesn't make any sense." His voice was a mutter - masked by the music
With a sigh, he said just over the music, "fine." He began dancing, in some terms - very awkwardly.

"Two very good things to realize." Especially over the next few days. I grabbed a drink off a passing tray and downed it in one gulp. It burned, but made the incessant want to break someone’s neck die down just a bit. "Now, show me how you dance."
He arched an eyebrow at the girl as she downed another glass of alcohol -"How much alcohol tolerance do you exactly have? Also, I have no idea how to dance."

"Now is as good a time as any to start. Show me what you got."
Just as Marcus began talking again, a bumbling idiot decided to ram into me from behind. I ended up stepping on Marcus’ toe and before the man even realized what he had done, I whipped around and slapped him. Gripping his face, he grinned at me before waltzing off to find another someone to ram into.
"What do you mean show me wh- oww." He gritted his teeth when she stepped on his toe - he knew it was involuntary so he did not really care.
"Okay, One - I am glad that I didn't walk into you and two - note to self, do not anger you." He allowed a smirk to claim his lips at the end of the sentence.

"Dance, like move your body. You know things normal people do." I nodded my head slowly, waiting for him to at least attempt to dance. Bless his heart, he really wasn’t a party person now was he.
"I know what dancing is - but I'm not sure if these people are in terms dancing or in your terms what normal people do."
"Anyway," he shrugged apologetically, "I've never danced before."

"Well then you’re going to have to be very good at pretending to be just as drunk as everyone else." I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards a mass of people who were dancing. Or at least trying to. "Step two, dance."
He arched an eyebrow when she grabbed his hand - beginning to pull him towards a crowd of people. His eyes wandered about the group of drunk men and women attempting to dance - warily he looked at her, "Dance?"

"First, you drink." I said, handing him a glass of the nearest alcoholic beverage. I stood and took a slow sip of my own drink, attempting to show him how it was done.
He glanced down at the glass of alcohol in his hand - setting it down on a table near him without taking a sip of it, "Kind of have a bad experience with alcohol."

"Is it different?" he asked following her gaze, "The parties in two?"
"A bit less light, less clothing, more alcohol, and louder music and you’ve got a party in Two." I said with a shrug. Returning my attention back to Marcus, I raised an eyebrow. "You really have no idea what to do do you?"
He tilted his head and looked at her, "At a party? No."

"We really don’t have parties back in Twelve - if there was any I never went," he said with his eyebrows narrowed, "I’m guessing you guys have a lot of parties in Two?"
"You’re good at guessing, congratulations." I let my eyes wander around the room, partially looking for someone else to play with and just marveling at how overly drunk the Capitol citizens could get in one night. Apparently they had nothing about waking up the next morning with a pounding headache.
"Is it different?" he asked following her gaze, "The parties in two?"

"So what do you do at parties?" I asked, taking another small sip of my drink. Well he really was something… although that something was a bit boring.
"We really don't have parties back in Twelve - if there was any I never went," he said with his eyebrows narrowed, "I'm guessing you guys have a lot of parties in Two?"

"More bodies - less space, but I thought I’d stay to observe - and to not get scolded at by my stylists.’ He gave a small smirk followed by a shrug.
An observer… noted. “While you’re here might as well make the most of it.” I plucked a drink off of a tray and held it out to him. “Care for a drink?” Why waste my time on someone who doesn’t know how to have fun.
He shook his head softly, "No thanks, not really a big fan of alcohol either."
