Anchored To Dover
There is a little history to these anchors after a bit of research. And they have been moved around the port over the years. Opinions vary on the origins, regardless.....
I have always found them a little tricky to photograph and never seemed to get it quite right.
Settings: Canon EOS R6 MKII - 1/4000 - ISO100 - f4 - 24mm and used the photo stacking.
Another cracking shot of the iconic Walmer Castle. Taken with the drone.
Love a drone photograph that offers a completely different perspective.

At the Water’s Edge
Reculver Towers, standing quietly between land, sea, history, and sky.
From above, the ruins take on a different kind of presence — weathered stone, open water, dramatic light, and the edge of Kent all meeting in one frame.
A place shaped by time, tide, and memory.

Tribute on the Clifftop
A view from above of a place created for remembrance.
From the air, the shape of the memorial becomes even more powerful — the sweeping landscape, the quiet symmetry, and the clifftop setting all coming together in one frame.
This photograph captures not just a location, but a sense of respect, history, and stillness. A tribute held in the Kent countryside, overlooking the coast.

Shadow of the Monument
There is something striking about seeing a familiar landmark from above. From this perspective, the monument becomes more than just a structure — it becomes shape, symmetry, light, and shadow.
Captured in the golden light, the long shadow stretching across the landscape gives the scene a dramatic and almost timeless feel. A quiet moment, viewed differently.
