Hi! I really loved Life of Captain Marvel #1, your Carol was AMAZING. You also wrote my favourite Tony in a long time, I loved his characterisation and his relationship with Carol. Have you ever thought about writing an Iron Man solo comic?
ah it’s a dream of mine, someday! XO
Hi Margaret - I live on Mere Point in Maine with my twin daughters who are 7 1/2. Phoebe is very interested in comics and has been writing her own. She loved seeing Harpswell in your comics. I wondered if you are up here at all and if you might be open to meeting her. It would be amazing for her. Thanks! Susan Olcott
That is so cool! Tell her to keep writing! I don’t know when I’ll next be in Harpswell but I believe I will do an event in Portland sometime in the near future! Check back on the events page! XO
Every summer I go visit my parents on Bailey Island, Maine driving over the Cribstone bridge over and over. I loved seeing the crazy narrow super cool bridge in a small town in Maine in "The Life of Captain Marvel". After reading over the comic I can't help but see a resemblance to "The Giant Staircase" on the first page and the last, is that the Giant Staircase? Also will you be in Phoenix anytime soon? I will love an autograph for this issue. Thanks Matthew Harrington
It is, of course it is! I love the Giant Staircase and the Cribstone Bridge! :)
Hello Ms. Stohl I am a big fan of the black widow books you have written. I saw on the New York Comic Con website that you'd be making an appearance, however I did not see you at your station yesterday. I really would have liked to get my book signed by you. Would you be doing any future signings?
I’m at a NYC book festival soon, check back on my events postings!
Will there be a third book in the ICONS series? I'm sure you get this question a lot, but I am a high school librarian just buying them for our school for the first time and I noticed the second one leaves us hanging.
ha yes! there is a third one, it’s called ASHES, and it will be out someday, i promise! i do get quite a big of email about that one :) So sorry!
This is Alex Noble again (I just asked a question). I'm not sure if I'll be notified once it's answered so here's my email address just in case: alexanmnATuscDOTedu (it wouldn't let me write it out with an "@" or a "."). Thanks!
Hey, I'm an artist for Marvel and Lion Forge and someone on Twitter said I should ask you about who I might be able to contact about drawing one of the next Destiny comic book installments. I'm a big fan of Destiny and its lore and have enjoyed the comics. I've worked on Domino and her annual and also the Xmen holiday special. I'd appreciate any info if you had any. Thanks! Michael Shelfer shelfer007 @ outlook. com
ha that’s amazing! will keep that in mind, thanks! m
Hey Margaret! I sent you a long message on Instagram, but perhaps this is better. To be brief: after discovering the lead designer of one of my favorite games of all time, Zork: Grand Inquisitor, was a WOMAN (you), I picked my jaw up off the floor and tried to find a way to get in touch. I would love if I could pick your brain about your role designing the game, and about game design in general. Hope to hear from you! - Rachel McKeon
Ha amazing, that is very cool! I was the lead designer, and actually just had dinner with Laird, the guy who hired me for that gig! I speak more at comicons and book events than game industry events but I always talk about games one way or another -- in fact I just lectured at USC game school and have been thinking how fun it was. Thanks for saying hi! M
Hi, I wanted to write to thank Margaret Stohl for some of the themes in her book "Cats vs. Robots", which my ten year old daughter recently read. My kid was excited to see a nonbinary character in a book, and she liked several of the comments made about the constructedness of gender so much that she copied them out and posted them on our wall! I am trans, and it's hard to find YA books that represent non-cis people or talk about gender as socially constructed. Thanks for making my kid happy!
That is so awesome. I am super excited to hear this and will also pass the news on to my own non-binary kid, the illustrator :) Thanks for reaching out! - M
