Fun With Michael

It had started lightly, small cramps that soon started to grow. Margo had it easier than other women, being far more than a human it didn't hurt nearly as much, of course this did not mean it still did not hurt. "Oh, oh." She gasped gripping the back of a chair, letting out small puffs of air. "Adam! It's time!" (hope this works)
It was quiet in the tiny makeshift house, and the creature was busy skinning some rabbits for dinner, and then he put his knife down as he looked to Margo with panic. “Y-you mean…” he stuttered, swallowing hard. He stood up and took a few steps closer to her. He knew what was happening, and he was honestly terrified.
"Wh-what do I do?!"
The creature nodded and lay back so he could rest the sleeping baby on his chest. “Right. I could finish preparing those rabbits I was making earlier, I’ll make them into a stew so they’ll be softer on your stomach. We have enough fur for the winter, I have survived harsh winters already so it will be easy to keep you both warm.”
"We did well last winter." She agreed, having noticed they did have far more pelts this year than the last. Margo nodded, taking a breath before standing up. She put away the clothes she had worn, washed off with the water which was left before pulling on a knitted shirt, long enough to cover her down to the knees. "Let me changed the bedding, he'll probably wake up soon enough."
It had started lightly, small cramps that soon started to grow. "Wh-what do I do?!"
The creature fell silent as he smiled meekly. Even though he knew in due time, there would be things to be nervous about. Babies are fragile and must be handled with the utmost care, but with Margo around, he knew that there would really be nothing to fear. Pure happiness swelled inside his chest as he let out a content sigh.
"Are you alright?" he found himself asking Margo, "Do you need anything? Food or…anything?"
"Food would be good, then I think I should do as Eden does and rest." She smiled softly, deciding she needed to move, the bedding needed changing. "I could also need some washing. Dried blood isn't pleasant to sleep in." Margo sighed, slowly moving to sit up fully.
"Here, hold Eden while I clean up slightly." The child was held out carefully to it's father, still fast asleep.

"Wh-what do I do?!"
The creature nodded, his eyes wandering back to the baby, softly poking his tiny chest. “I hope he will be good.” the creation thought idly, his lips tightening for a moment. “I want him to be more like you.”
A name…of course he would need a name. To grace him with such a thing was, of course, a necessity, but to put it in the responsibility of the creation was a big deal to him. He was never given a name by his creator nor himself, and now he was in charge of naming his son. It was truly an honor.
"In narrow room Natures whole wealth, yea more, a Heaven on Earth, for blissful Paradise. Of God the Garden was, by him in the East of…Eden planted." he recited, "Eden."
Margo turned to the Creature, pressing a kiss to his lips. "He'll be fine, he's got a good father as well." she smiled softly before moving her eyes back to their child. "I'd much like him to be happy."
She stayed silent as Adam thought, eyes closing as he spoke again. Eden. She thought, looking at the boy, seeing his chest rise and fall with each breath. "Eden.. Eden." Margo repeated, voice content at the choice, it was nothing like her own, but she had not wanted her child to have such a set name for themselves, Eden was "Perfect."

"Wh-what do I do?!"
The calm of the room was comforting, and soon all of the creature’s fear started melting away. “I hope it will not hurt him too much…” he thought aloud, his long fingers gently touching his son’s soft skin.
"He is ours…and despite his missing arm, I think he’s still perfect anyway. Perfect as something God would craft himself."
"It won't." She said softly, stroking the thuff of hair on the child's head. "It'll just feel like light muscle cramps, or growing pains. Nothing bad. It's harder when you're older." Margo noticed the mix in colours of his hair with a small smile.
"And he needs a name." she pointed out, even though she had named herself, her name came from someone else a very long time ago. A name which would stay for all lives he'll live.

The creature smiled up at Margo, curling his body around her. “I remember well. And I am sorry I did not like you at first…but I am happy you did not run from me like I probably asked you to.” He laughed softly, a hint of nervousness added to it. “So he will be able to change…like you? Will it hurt him as well?”
His fingers grazed over the nub attached to the baby’s shoulder, and guilt returned to the pit of his gut. “What if it was my fault?” he asked, frowning a little, “What if he got that from me?”
Margo chuckled, remembering the way they both had acted that day. "I can't say I was much better. I'm glad you found me the day after." She nodded. "He will, and yes. But it's easier when you're young, the body shifts almost without any pain. He'd probably just be a little out of breath, as all." She reassured, remembering how easy it had been when she was just a baby.
"It does not matter, he's ours none the less. I have seen humans with far worse abnormalities who seems to be just fine." She told him gently, holding Adam a little closer before moving their child, who seemed to be done eating for now. "See, he's just fine." She smiled at the bay who smiled back, already learning to copy others. "My kind grows and leans fast, just as animals do."

The creature smiled meekly, feeling his own cheeks growing warm. “I never would have imagined…” he whispered, his third bout of tears already on its way. “All my life, I was told that I was not worthy of such happiness, that I would never find love or family.”
He his his face on Margo’s shoulder, biting his lip. “He’s ours, better than any human child in existence. He’s perfect, Margo.”
She smiled back, finding the situating slightly funny, how he was the one to cry more than both her and the child. "Remember when we met, you thought I was just your imagination that day." Margo chuckled at the memory, stroking over the creatures neck, with a small smile. "I was cat, then I was woman. And our child will at some point learnt to do what I can."
"He's so much more than human, and he has a good father. There is nothing in this world he can't do.. well, maybe juggle." She joked lightly, wondering how come their child only had one arm. "He'll be okay though, just have to make sure we'll survive the winter now that there are three of us."

"Wh-what do I do?!"
Although the more he held the baby, the more he grew attached to him, but he knew he probably needed Margo even more, and he carefully passed him over. “I have never seen anything like this.” he confessed, snuggling himself beside Margo. “Never been this close to the birth of a baby. P-perhaps…besides my own.”
Margo, moved the top away so the child could eat, placing him close and hoping he's catch on. "It's really only amazing the first time." She said softly. "But the result is always a wonder."
Once the child had latched on and started to feed she reached over to Adam, placing a hand over his. "You're a father now, and I should tell you he's different than any other child." Margo was trying to explain that their baby was well, far more special than he might think, but there really was no hurry.

"Wh-what do I do?!"
He looked back to her in uncertainty. “Will it hurt?” he asked, “C-cutting the…that.” Nevertheless, he moved away to take the pitcher of water away from the fire and to clean his knife off. Now that the worst was over, he felt like he could breathe better. Margo was alive, and so was the baby.
When he sat on the edge of the bed, he did as he was asked and cut the cord with the knife, and set that down so he could take the baby in both hands. He was in awe, looking down at this child that they had created together; his face was angelic and tears fell down the creature’s face once again.
But then he remembered that afterbirth now covered his hands along with the baby and he cleaned it off the child with a small blanket soaked in warm water, and he wrapped it up in a dry one.
"No." She shook her head with a kind smile. Her heart swelled with pride at the look on his face, the sight of their child. As Adam cleaned the bay off, the placenta was quickly pushed out and Margo shuddered at the sensation, it truly was uncomfortable.
Margo reached for the child once she'd moved up on the bed, sitting slightly. "Lets see if he'll eat." she cooed softly, one hand touching Adam's.

Margo had it easier than other women, being far more than a human it didn't hurt nearly as much, of course this did not mean it still did not hurt. "Oh, oh." "Wh-what do I do?!"
The creature’s breath caught in his throat as he looked up at Margo, tears streaming down his face. “I-I am sorry. I am sorry.” he whimpered, though he didn’t know what he was sorry for yet. He took the cloth from her forehead and wiped away any remaining sweat from her face before placing it aside.
And when the child was out, he was afraid to look for a moment, but his curiosity was overwhelming and he had to, for the sake of them both. There it was, still connected to Margo, and silent. His own memories of first coming to life, he wasn’t so quiet…but perhaps things were different this way.
With a closer examination, he realized why it might have felt so small inside her. “It only has one arm…” he murmured, reaching down to touch the baby.
Margo had a moment to relax, she squeezed his hand hoping to sooth him best she could. There was still one more thing to come, one she did not like, but in comparison to birthing a child it would be fairly painless, just uncomfortable.
She watched him move closer to the child, smiling at the two. The child looked to be a boy, eyes large and searching, hand clenched in a small fist. He was a small thing, small enough to fit inside Adam’s palm. “The cord needs to be cut, then there is one more thing to come out.” Margo spoke softly. “And the child needs to be washed, and wrapped up to keep warm.”
She did not care if he had no arms, as long as the child was alive and healthy.

"Wh-what do I do?!"
The creature held one of her hands and kissed her fingers, unsure of what else to do. If Margo knew what she was doing, then of course he trusted her. Not because he had no other choice, but she was the only one he could ever think to trust.
But the moment she felt something was off, fear overcame him. “W-what do you mean?” he asked, his voice cracking. Now that he thought more in-depth about it, it could have been his fault. With his broken body, he would make her bear a monster, and the thought alone brought tears to his eyes.
It was so close now, the pain slowly shooting up her spine. She pushed, forcing herself to breath deeply. "Not sure.. But it's alive. The child is alive." Margo reassured, squeezing Adam's hand. It would be okay, something was just not as it normally was.
The birth was quick enough, a push, a cry and breath of relief from Margo. And the child, the child was quiet and for some reason she felt no worry over that. "It's okay.. I'm okay. We're okay."
It had started lightly, small cramps that soon started to grow. Margo had it easier than other women, being far more than a human it didn't hurt nearly as much, of course this did not mean it still did not hurt. "Oh, oh." "Wh-what do I do?!"
"O-oh…is small good?" he asked, moving away just a bit so he could take the pitcher of water from the table and wet a clean cloth with it, the rest placed near the fire so it could heat up a little. When he stepped back over to Margo, he placed the cloth on her forehead in attempt to keep her cool.
Seeing her in pain broke his heart, but the very vague information he knew about birth in general was the pain would stop eventually and the mother would be okay in the end. And that’s all that mattered to him, as long as the baby was okay as well.
"For me, yes." She managed a smile, before going back to concentrating on her breathing. The feeling of her body starting to push out the child had begun, it didn't as much as it should. Was something wrong? Had something happened? The child wasn't early, not for her.
Margo, pushed, letting out a small grunt, feeling the small body moving through her. "Something's not right." she breathed, worried what might have gone array. "Too small."

"Wh-what do I do?!"
With a deep breath of his own, he took another step closer to her chair and picked her up completely with grace and ease so he could carry her over to the bed. He lay her down, and he knelt by the bedside, taking his hand into hers.
"Are you sure you will be alright?" he asked quietly, just to be sure. "What will the warm water do?"
With both hands holding her belly, she breathed calmly, taking deep breaths through the contractions. "Clean up mostly." She admitted softly, to be fair a water birth tended to be easier on the shifter. Though where that small speck of information came from she could not remember.
"It'll be fine, it does not hurt as much for me. Our child will be small." They always were for shifters of her kind, she was always small. The contractions came closer, her breath coming out sharper, head tipped back and teeth clenched.

Her breathing had quickened, eyes closed to gain some composure. The realisation she'd probably be the calmest person in this was becoming clear. "Yh-yes.. We're having child." She smiled while keeping a firm hold on the chair.
"Bed.. and warm water, nature will take care of the rest, dear." Margo, moved the hand from her stomach to take hold of Adam, needing his help to move.
