The Bible tells us how God uses suffering, perhaps more than anything, to free us, grow us and bless us. The story of Esther is such a clear example of that, an orphan girl turned queen whose obedience and faith led to the rescue of an entire race. But before the happy end she was struggle with insecurities and fear, the ‘what ifs’ of our lives. Then her cousin Mordecai said, “For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place (…) but maybe you were made queen for just such a time as this.” We did not end up where we are on our own. And whatever is the challenge before us, the ultimate goal is to give Him glory and help His beloved ones. We just have to say a courageous and bold yes. I did not want to extend me but I must to point to Mordecai’s boldness too, he would be probably the first to die, as a gibbet was ready for him, but he knew whether through Esther’s intervention or another place, redemption was a sure thing. From death to life. From persecution to the second in power only to the King. He makes all things new!
Stop getting hung up on other people’s opinion and approval. You have more important things to do.
