I think the main reason I'm able to enjoy Gasper so much is that I have absolutely no expectation of the show actually going through with it.

This show was clearly written by someone who hasn't actually watched any television since 2004. It’s never going to give us canon delicious age gap yaoi. Guy is Straight™️, which is why they needed to give him a one-night stand they immediately fridged.

Bill Fichtner can get a little gay with it because Jasper is positioned as a villain, so 2004 is okay with him being queer-coded. Guy going wet-eyed, submissive and breedable the second they're in a room together is...uh...
